I’m a new grower and this one is now 18 days into vegetation and I haven’t added any nutrients yet. I’m wondering when the seedling will have used up most of the nutrients in the soil and I should start supplementing with commercial nutrients.

It's Usually around the 3rd or 4th week to start feeding, and when you do start with like a 1/4 to 1/3 the recommended strength when you do some nute brands a pretty strong. And with the size of your pots in consideration I would say start feeding around the 3rd week. Soils do have some nutrients in them and can vary how long they will last. so if you can look to see what and how much is in your soild. You are doing great plants look really healthy. Happy Growing! Hope this helps you an if you have any other ?'s don't be afraid to ask me or any of these other fine Growers😎

The plants look great, nice healthy green leaves, good size. So like others mentioned it usually takes a couple weeks if you're using quality soil...if not then the need would probably be sooner. However if you plan to transplant them anytime soon you may not need to feed them anything yet as they would get another new dose of fresh soil. If you're keeping them there for awhile then id say you can rely on the plants to tell you they're needing things otherwise bring in the micro and grow nutrients at a nice low dose like you mentioned. Good luck with the grow, you're off to a great start ✌️

Good question GrandMan, really depends on the soil you bought and how enriched it is. So for example the soil i'm using the label says it's enriched for 8 weeks of feed, but commonly you'll find soils from anything from 3 weeks to 8 weeks. In your case though the size of the pot also really matters, smaller pots will lose their nutrients faster when you water and as the plants eat up all the juice. I'm pretty sure you can start feeding in week three with no fear , just dont go overboard, and make sure the plants dont get root bound for lack of space. Hope this helps ! 🚀
