When to Defoliate 4 Week Autos

When should I start defoliation/leaf thinning? My Tangerine Dream and Glue Gelato are getting a lil gnarly. Also want even light to the bottom of the plants. On week 4 day 3 naps with my 4 autos. Don’t want to stress, but I do want even looking plants. Thanks!

I would use leaf tucking and LST vs defoliation at this point.
The plant needs to get a bit bigger before that would be a really good option.

I waited until the 2nd week in flower for mine. I wouldn’t worry about yours until u go into flower. All the leafs are great solar panels, and only did mine because they got so bushy

Never !!! While she is so small no need, you just will grow yourself a midget. Look at my Seedsman running auto diary, I took leaves, but compare size ... I am huge fan of defoliation, but you need to apply it when you REALLY NEED it. It's not some mysterious highway to huge harvest.
