LED - about 18 inches during veg
- 24 inches for seedlings
- 12 inches when flowering.

Anywhere between 15 and 20 inches is where I place them.
Then increase as they go..or during the stretch phase to allow room.
You don't want them too far away either otherwise they may stretch too much.

Downgrade my light wattage or not?My tent is 80cm x 80cm x 180cm and i use a 400w hps/mh. Based on all light calculations i came across it gives me a total requirements of light of around 160-200 watts. Should i downgrade to a 250w system or keep the 400w and why please, some expert ? The heat problem was back... well, now I had to hang the lamp 40cm higher, just put in new poles and made the tent taller. I hope it's not too bad for the ladies. But there was no other way; the temperature at the highest point of the plant was sometimes 33 degrees.

2 plants, 2 Mars Hydro TSW 2000’s, need help with pot size/tent size configurationMy plan is to flower these 2 girls in a SCROG under 2 Mars Hydro TSW 2000s (2x300W actual). Just ordered a 150W Quantum Board, can I swap my Blurple UFO mid grow to the new board? Is it possible to increase flower size this late into a grow?My Blurple apparently uses 230W actual draw but is advertised as 600W. If that 230W value is correct, does that suggest my new, much more expensive QB is not as good? Will it make a difference to the plants health? What are the benefits from the QB? Thanks!6y ago

Is closer to the light much better?Is the light closer better? I have a VIPARSPECTRA 1000W LED Grow Light (10W LED ,x100) and it says during veg 18-26 and flowering distance at 18-24”. Looking at other growers using LED they are closer. Should I try to keep it closer a little at a time? Is there benefit?Setup. Lighting
