Broke main stem on Auto :(

While performing LST i snapped the main stem completely between node 2 and 3. I fixed the two parts together again and used a plastic tube and plant tie to secure it back. It seems to be holding well. Did this ever happen to anyone on an auto ? Will it survive ?

Not on autos but on photos ive re attached main branches that snapped clean off and repaired split main stems from too harsh LST.. and ive always used some kind of tape, anything from plumbers silicone tape, to duct tape and even mesh tiling tape. The common theme is you need to wrap the damages area WELL and not move the damaged area for a few weeks. Pretty sure this will badly stunt the Autoflower as it heals the damage instead of growing but If you got others going its maybe worth letting it go as an experiment to see how your patching job works out, use it as a learning experience. But if its the only plant you have or one of only 2, and you NEED it to produce a half decent yield then id prob cut my losses and sprout another seed while you watch this one for a week and then move the seed in and this one to the bin.

It's happened to me and I did a similar repair... everything was just fine! All you can do anyway is let her go and see if she'll be ok.... nothing more to be done! Good luck!

Been there done that a few time. Yes it will survive regardless. Now the top will depend on your patching job. Two parts need to be held together to grow back. Even if the top does not make it. The plant will dedicate its energy to parts lefts undamaged.

I'm about to harvest a plant that I broke a branch on earlier in flowering. All the buds developed nicely and the branch healed into a knot.

it will survive, it surely will suffer a lot from stress. I would watch it the next few days how she responds.

This is how I topped my very first auto. it was a mistake. It may hold but chances are low. All you can do is wait. Can try wrapping the area in plastic wrap to keep it from drying out like they do when grafting hardwoods. Good Luck!
