cover up the pots.. algae only grows with light. shouldn't have light hitting roots. the ones that are exposed to too much light will differentiate into non-root cells. they will turn green like stems and at minimal not function as well as a root, if not ceasing completely with enough exposure. algae isn't good, but it won't cause any major problem. it'll eat up N near the light exposed areas, but it won't grow into the medium where light is not available. who knows, maybe the increased competition for resources is a net positive? wouldn't assume either way and wouldn't allow it to happen on a maybe.

@HiddenMesaage yeah I couldn't see so I didn't know what you were talking about so seen perlite and assumed it was the same that happens to some of it under canopy in mine sry. You never see clear planting pots or clear DWC tanks and they have shielding for that very reason.

Yeah it's not perlite. I couldn't see the green you were talking about. Had closer look. I agree after reading nobodysbuds/mouse, just algee it happens in nutes in bottles that are exposed to light. Wrap some black tape or a wrap that covers it up, no light, no more algee. Sry bout bad question i dont read others replys, i just couldnt see it. If id of read and looked proper id of seen it. Best of luck.

Its not going to harm them mold tends to be black or grey sometimes yellow or red and has a sour odour and sometimes slimy texture but not always. Like others have said it is algae and its their because the mediums is being exploded to light. Its best to grow in dark plastics or container that block out the light. this helps control that. Your should have no issues when transplanting the root ball looks intact and well established. I would recommend using some beneficial microbes this will help reduce transplant shock. You may already know this little tidbit of information but if you choose to grow autos start them in their final pot and do not transplant them. They go into shock quite easy. Best Of Luck!
