I'm now 1st wk pre/flower. What pruning should I consider in next 3-4 weeks? I have super dense/ dark, crowded areas on top & sunniest sides, some squares have 5+ colas, most have less. Inner is thinned, should I defoliate a bit or prune redundant top shoots & if so when? thx!

Let her go top wise just do some leaf pulling. She's got a lot more stretch in her yet. I'd be pulling leaves to create light tunnels but outdoors you going to get some great light penetration anyway. Week 4 is when I'd be considering air flow and light penetration but for now keep it chill🙏🙏🙏

I would say there's some room to prune here , I would prune away the biggest leaves that are covering tops that would be target number 1 . Then I would remove some of the bottom leaves that arent getting light and just using up energy for nothing anything . I wouldnt go to hard about it I would do it slowly over some time and watch the plants reaction to each time you do it . You dont wanna over stress her at this time . Repeat the process as many times as needed until your satisfied with the result . Like I said though you dont have to go to crazy here because the sun penetrates really well compared to indoor lighting . After you have pruned away all the stuff you dont like I think it would be beneficial to you to train your plant in the sense of lst to really open her up to the great light you have ( the sun ) more light on the tops more full flowers youll get resulting in a better tasting stronger yield . I hope this information helps you along your journey to becoming a Grow Master ! Happy Growing!

Hell ya prune her up a bit nothing crazy just to increase some airflow and let more light in, I know that natural light is great at penetrating but why not use all the tools you got .The plant will take all her cues that's it time to flower and defoliation will help always just don't go crazy here and there I know here in southern Canada we get weather perfect for mold and all that crap in September October it sucks ..cheers

Lightpenetration outdoors is much better than indoors, the sun is wandering, and if the plant stands " free" your she should get enough light.I do it like this, I take away sproutings and leaves in the bottom area. ( ca 30 percent in the total hight of the Plant) and then if i finished topping ( i stop on second flowring week, i let her grow. Its good to give her a " corsage" to be protected of heavy winds and helping carry the budites. And here in northern europe they need a transparent roof, because in september we have lots of rain and humidity and its colder. So i protect her from rain. to keep away mold. Its a great tip from @ROM101 to create " Light TUnnels" happy growing
