Hi Guys, Can I defoliate being so far into the flowering stage? I would like to expose more bud sites but don't want to over-stress the plant! Thanks :)

Hello ! Not really a good idea , maybe later in flowering when the plants will focus on bud fattening but at that stage they needs foliage to thrive , maybe you can try to knit your leaves together to give the bud more light exposure or remove only the leaves that are blocking light to a bud. I hope it will help you 😁👍

Honestly you can defoliate any time you want however I would advice against defoliation at opportune time throughout the growing cycle. For instance I would advice against doing it during the stretch or late bloom. You can do defoliation right after the stretch without to much set back but only do very select defoliation during the late bloom to avoid detrimenting the THC production. Hope this helps 😎

Hey @Chewyyyy! I usually avoid any kind of pruning/defoliation after the 2nd week of flowering, because I want my plants to drive their energy into bud fattening and resin production, rather than recovery. But this isn't 100% true, sometimes it's better to defoliate if the leaf is really creating shade onto some potential big bud. To summup, do it intelligently and slightly, and you should see great results! Happy growing 👊

You can always defoliate , just don't do to much at once , this will encourage new bud sites and more vigorous growth on the current one's. The plant will think its being grazed by a deer or something and it will kick it further into over drive ! Looking over your grow I see leaves that are browning up with spots on them , I would target those leafs fist in order to prevent any unwanted pests but try and avoid taking leaves from direct bud sites always start from the bottom and work your way up . I wouldnt concern myself with defoliation tho your doing a good job as is ! I would just get rid of those browning up leaves and any of the leaves that arent getting sunlight and such this way your plant can direct all its energy into forming nice beautiful thick flowers ! -Happy Growing!

So far into flowering is not advisable. Plucking a couple of leaves is ok, but a heavy defoliation is not advisable at this point, you could seriously hurt your yield. Also, what you want to do is to expose lower leaves not bud sites
