Hello. I would like to bring to your attention: Super Cropping, Just bend the tallest tops so they are level with the horizon. You need to soften the stock where you want to bend it. Sort of pinch it then bend. You want the branch to fold and not split. And they will heal and try to raise that branch again. You need to find a way to hold it at 90 degrees. About 3 or 4 weeks ago I super cropped some of my buds and bent up some holders/clips. Please see my SAL diary about 3 or 4 weeks ago to see my homemade clips for super cropping. Please google Super Cropping. Chuck

Definitely no. The topping directs the power from the main shoot to the side shoots during the growth phase. This slows vertical growth. In flowering, new shoots are no longer created by the plant, so you end up killing your best shoot.

In short and simple, my honest answer would be NO: by then you are not facing any more exponential vegetative growth but more of an initial stretch that ends in the plant focussing exclusively on the colas and buds. The purpose for topping is to redirect the plant growth from one cola to 2. As no more colas will be forming at the stage just leave your plant be. My personal advise would be to LIGHTLY defoliate so to allow more light to directly shine on the colas and main bud sites. The more light penetrate to the flower, the bigger they will get. Do let me know of this makes sense to you and do not hesitate to drop a DM if I could be if any more assistance. 👋
