It will not affect your plant, which is still 1-3 weeks from harvest, so no need to "panic chop". Just break up the mold/fuzz with a stick every time you see it, this will cause it no end of grief. Generally this type of fuzz/mold is associated with micro organisms breaking down any wood chips that may have been added to the soil mix during manufacture and is a normal organic process, so no ned to worry about it. You could go to 11/13 to get this girl to hurry up and finish if you are getting impatient with her. After looking at your diary and your questins about tips etc, try 18/6 next time and don't use tiny coffee cups, especially clear plastic ones either, roots need absolute darkness to grow properly. Start your seedlings in black plastic pots, about 4 inches across and five inches deep and they will develop much faster. This size pot is good for about 3 weeks of growth before planting into a 20 litre (or more) pot for finishing. Those tiny coffe cups are not big enough for more than about the first 5-7 days of growth. It always astounds me on this site that people always want big plants then start them in tiny cups, which limits their development from day one! Just because "everyone else does it", does not make it right! If you are keen, have a look at week 7 in my diary "cannabis conundrums" where I have posted pictures of a 3 week old seedling with its roots exposed and this will give you an idea as to why deep pots are so necessary for correct and speedy seedling development. Also, you may want to upgrade your light, 100 watts is barely enough, no doubt the main reason for the slowness of this grow. Also, also, harvest when there are about 98% brown pistils, harvesting when there are only 60% brown pistils is waaaay too early and would give you a slight buzz, but it would not get you stoned. You can't believe everything you read on the internet! Hope this helps, Organoman

Personally I'd would harvest her she look ready and if you notice she is starting to foxtail. The mould you can see can either be The yellow houseplant mushroom (Leucocoprinus birnbaumii) is a yellow to white fungus often seen growing in potting soil used in houseplants. It starts out as a bright or pale yellow fuzzy patch on top of the soil and then develops into large parasol-shaped mushrooms. or it could also be a form of saprophytic fungus, which is completely harmless and even beneficial for most plant species. enjoy your harvest growmie 💚😊

As you can tell by my diary I have been slack as fck keeping up to date. It has been a super long and slow grow and is also my first grow. I thought it was close to harvesting so I only used straight water to start flushing, then I had a sudden growth spurt as you can see from close up on buds, so I went back to adding bud candy once a week. Could the 'carbs' be cause of growing mold, obviously along with 12/12 light schedule and humidity as the room its in gets afternoon sun and warms up. If the mold isn't harmful do I continue to let it have more growth or is that not beneficial to current state, trichomes etc?
