Despite they are great components, peat, perlite with dry amendments is not a living soil. You are missing the humus-compost part, form microbial and bacterial life, and the addition of some michorizea for some fungal life.
Adding good quality worm casting as your compost source is ideal. It naturally contains a lot of things for the plant to use like enzymes, hormones, humic and fulvic acid, and a lot more.
Starting a living soil can get expensive, but will soon become cheaper to run than an hydro set up. In the long run, a well balanced formula should include Kelp Meal, Neem meal, Crab meal, gypsum, basalt, Epsom salts. But diversity is the key. I recommend you to start with some pre-mix formula, so you have a well balance nutriment source, without having to buy them all at start. Gaia Green Power Bloom is a great mix to start with, or to use on the long term.
