root out of pot

Hi i have my root starting to get out of my pot and someone told me that will cause a lot of problem and i wonder if he is right or not ? Ps: I use 11L fabric pots with clay at the bottom for optimum drainage and a coconut perlite potting mix

It will not harm your plant. The parts exposed to light will die off and resprout inside the container, causing no issues at all, they will go through a process known as "air pruning" and is similar to topping. Nothing to worry about, cannabis is a robust, almost indestructable plant, not a dainty, delicate fern that requires "princess perfect" conditions to survive.

Clay forms a waterproof barrier and can block oxygen. In the future fill the entire pot with well draining potting soil and do not put a layer of anything at the bottom. Without the clay layer the air and drying of the surface of the pot will stop the roots from growing through. Your clay layer is staying wet and allowing the roots to grow outside the pot.

Although it's not a problem, one thing you might consider doing is to place that pot inside another, larger fabric pot with more soil... Might increase your harvest!! Just a thought... Good luck...

Its not a problem, until your pot have space between bottom and floor of growbox, roots will dry and falloff. If there's no space under bottom of pot, roots can get rot, because there's always wet.
