Any one have experience running a set up like mine...

It's rare to hear someone having lower temps issues during the summer but I suppose somewhere it's colder than this 30 Deg day lol. I've run HPS combined with LED before making the switch and honestly I'm loving LED far better that running HPS. A Quantum boards is slim and as efficient as a double ended HPS in my opinion. You should be able to control the heat of your tent by using a fan speed controller hooked up to a sensor to regulate your tent temperature! That may require a slight investment but its well worth it.

I have the same LED bars i'm using them now, but i'm using them with the whole fixture. I would say though, get more bars and a space heater, you'll pay for the space heater within the first week of not using an extra HID lol, if you want to combine, try an MH bulb for veg and a Sodium one for flower, always switch out the bulbs after every harvest but apart from that i'm really happy with the bars, but part of their appeal for me is the modular fixture they come with, i added a couple bars now i've got 10 or so per fixture or maybe 8 not sure...with only one bar, and with FL you can get real close to your plants, do be afraid of going as close as 20cm away, for the HPS not much futher away that 35cm but be reasonable and make your own checks, this will avoid stretching as you know.
