Short Pistol Growth on Bud Sites

Hi friends. I am on second week of flowering and I'm noticing that the plant is producing very short pistols on bud sites. Most of my previous grows I had quite long pistol growth on bud sites. Is this type of growth a norm on pure indica strains?

She may have been a little heavy on the N side going into flower.

She is heavy on nitrogen. But the development your seeing is likely just the plant genetics. I would cut back on nitrogen and provide ample potassium and phosphorus for her the rest the grow. Good luck and happy growing 🌱

I'm of the mind it's just genetics and I wouldn't worry about it at all! The key to a good harvest is nice fat and dense buds and lots of wonderful trichomes... No worries! Good luck!
