High guys, My Jack Herer will soon move to another closet. I've got 2 led lights at home for vegging. Both use 60 watt but have a different colour spectrum (only have space for 1). Which one is my best option FOR VEGGING ONLY!?!? My options are the Spectrabox or the Cree Cob.

Personally I'd stand for the full spectrum - Cree Cob it is. You see, red light is important during blooming. But full spectrum will give your plants green and white light, which are just as good for vegetation as blue light. Good luck with your Jack Herer, that's a tremendous strain👽

COB full spectrum is the one to use.

those initial percentages are assuming that you are up near ceiling... otherwis could potentiall provide more in vege than bloom simply due to lacking oomph in light. (not speaking of your equipment, but just a context where what i typed wouldn'tmake sense.)

you probably need less intensity with your newer light... if it can dim or otherwise raise it higher, it might be best option. it is proportional to hours of use.. 12/12 needs 150% intensity of 18/6 to provide same amount of energy per day (DLI). So, vege needs 66% of what you use in flower, if woking backward... if it didnt work well for your vege plants, you likely were giving too much. regardless, you could still save some watts with smaller light matching smaller plants as it grows. the full spectrum 50/100w shows a citizen diode and then lists cree in title? but doesn't matter... 50w with a 2ish umol/j efficacy is going to cover 1.5sq ft running 18/6 schedule - maybe a tad more. it is proportional to hours of use, so a 20/4 could cove more -- do raise and lower light to best fit intended area of coverage. the 100w blurple will cover 3sq ft on an 18/6 schedule. still proportional to hours of use... e.g. more like 2 sq ft if used 12/12 bloom light. maybe tad more *a tad more because these are a bit more efficient than HPS, so 50w/sq ft is a bit high for these and what i used for shorthand. maybe 45w/sq ft? won't be huge difference. I've veged under a blurple then used clones under warmer white... i couldn't tell a difference, lol. so, you could just slowly amp up based on plant size... save the watts and the heat... unless you need the heat, then you kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

High guys, Thanks for helping me. I used to run these 2 leds together but I do use a smaller closet now and these 2 leds won't fit together. For flowering I do use another led for the first time. The Hans Panel 180 watt. I heard many great stories from friends that use this lamp. They got results with 2 grams dried cannabis per watt. And that's why I needed this lamp because 2 grams per watt sounds great to me 😜 This led panel is amazing for flowering. But it doesn't seem to do it so well during vegging. That's why I want to use one of my old lamps during vegging. They both use 60 watts input and both generate roughly 100 watts output (I know the input is the number we use for our hobby). The Spectrabox is pure blue and red colour while the cob led 3500k is the full spectrum. They told me that blue and red are most important for growing. That's why I consider to use the Spectrabox. But my knowledge about the colour spectrum and wavelengts that cannabis use to grow is zero. So if someone has knowledge about this and is able to help me out making the right decision. Then please do so because I don't know what lamp I should choose. Every advice is welcome guys! Happy Growing! 😋
