I'm with m0use on this one... soaking the seed in a glass of water until it sinks with the tap of your finger (12-24 hours) helps loosen the seed casing even if you do not scarify it... and then, since it's an autoflower, directly into your substrate in the pot it will call home for the rest of its life... I use the water soaking method then directly into the medium of choice. I will scarify the seed then soak for 12 hrs and then into the soil and it seems to work well for me. The pink scum is something that lives in the taps of water and is airborn as well. Serratia marcescens and Aureobasidium pullulans are the main culprits, from what I can tell they are mostly harmless unless your working with fungus cultures.. High GaryGreen, Nice Dick! The best way to germinate seeds with the highest chance for germination is to put her directly in the soil. Just put her 0.5 cm under the ground. Spray the soil around the seed moist, but not too wet with a spray bottle. After that just spray the soil 2 times a day moist. And it is important to keep a stable temperature... Around 24 °C is perfect! It takes between 3-5 days before she shows her first leaves. I always turn the lights on after 2 days because they move towards the light and heat from your lamp (that they think is the sun). I tried every other method you can imagen. And the problems of these methods is that they are too wet. Seeds don't need that much water. Just a little to activate her is enough and after only enough so she doesn't dry out. Moist is enough, wet gives problems! Happy Growing! 😋
