Messy Extractor Install

Bit of a mess this! Though I do have a smell-free grow area now 😇 Would there be any issues with putting the fan outside the tent with the filter inside at the top and ducting going out and down to the fan? Thanks

I'm thinking about some hard pipe for the next bodge, just got to find the right fittings and decide how to vertically hang the filter through the top tent port.

High eurorack, I would use 2 large cable ties to hang the filter. And yes the fiter can be placed outside the tent aswell and let the fan blow the air into the filter. But these kind of fans are better for sucking the air then pushing it through the filter. So both options are possible but for the lifespan of the exhaust fan you can better let it suck the air through the filter so keep the filter inside. Happy Growing! 😋

Absolutely, that's fine I used to run mine that way due space issues they are designed to run either way intake or exhaust

You can put the fan and filter wherever you want. I like to have both outside the tent so they do not take up precious space inside. I set the filter on the ground with the open side facing up. Then I use a plumbing rubber boot coupling to attach the fan on top of the filter using the filter as a base. Then another rubber boot on top to thin wall PVC drain pipe to make a rigid snorkel into the tent. The joints do not have to be glued so they are easy to take apart later. You can also use flex hose but it's not as durable and the inside isn't smooth so the airflow isn't as good.
