Can anyone recommend me a fairly inexpensive but accurate ph meter? I ordered one from amazon (the best seller) and upon calibrating it it's so all over the place with its readings. I need something I can trust and dont have to calibrate all the time?

https://www.amazon.com/HM-Resistant-Hydroponics-Gardening-Aquariums/dp/B01CP9Q192/ref=sr_1_82?qid=1570289955&s=industrial&sr=1-82 HM PH meter. I bought it from my local hydro shop at 50 bucks, 40 on Amazon, and found it holds its' accuracy pretty well. There is another waterproof model for more money. I used the older yellow/cheap ones from amazon and they are all over the place... This one I check every couple of days and it will normally raise .1 over 10-14 days. I use GH hydroponic solution (7.0) to check it... If you wanted you could leave the PH meter (the sensor) in the PH solution all the time, as you are supposed to keep the sensor wet. I tried it but ran out of solution pretty quick.. so I stopped doing that. happy growing! 👊

Hi. I my opinion the inexpensive and accureate dont fit together. The cheaper ones you have to calibrate before every use. and i did not find a single one that was user friendly. If you think about growing more often weed and need to get your Ph you may think in investing more money for a bluelab ph meter..... in my experience the most user friendly and accureate ph meters on the market.... cheers

Hi @Northnut! Support your local growshop! First, this is country related, since we have various brands & models accross the globe. Next, your amazon pH pen is probably a cheap chinese crap, whereas you can find plenty of advices and reliable products at your local growshop. And in case you live in a place where there's absolutely no shop, I'm sure there's a good online growshop in your country! BlueLab is a good brand I can recommend, but not the cheapest. Hope this will help, happy growing! 👊

Yes I can CityFarmers ph meter I bought over a year ago and still works good. I do recommend buying pH calibration liquid solution a 4.0 and 7.0 is all u need. It makes it easier then trying to mix a powdered pH calibration. You just pour solution in a small cup and put pen in if it's out of the range it should be slowly calibrate till it's right.
