Is it ok to have my 400 watt light about 20-25inches away from the plants if they are strong to meet the par readings. I know typically it’s about 12 inches just wanna make sure it possible to leave it higher. If needed

Thanks for The info do you think even though I have my light so high for flowering the park will be at 11/1200 you think I will be giving me canopy maximum light at that beight because the per meter said so but I know flowering light suppose to be a lot lower but I don’t wanna mess up anything by putting the par way over what it’s suppose to be and decreasing yield and potency

Play with light height and intensity so you can get to know your light. Monitor and record height above canopy, intensities, and how much your plants do or don't stretch. Granted, it will be different with each cultivar you grow, you'll still be on the way to dialing in the light aspect of your growing environment.
