Strange coloration on leaves.

What are you thoughts on the strange coloration and twisted growth on my Chemdog D's leaves? It looks like Tobacco Mosaic Virus but I'm 99% sure its not that. I am certain it is just genetics but would love to hear some opinions, especially if you've grown similar genetics.

I have been told that Chem lineage is known for having this discoloration. There are also other mosaic viruses besides TMV that could be the culprit

Thanks for all the replies fellas. I would have given more details if my initial post allowed me. I know for a fact its not a PH, temperature, enviornment, or feeding issue. The coloration has been like this since she was a seedling, and it doesn't seem like TMV because it hasn't spread to my other plant. @Creepy_Steve If growdiaries allowed it I could have given more details like what my PH looks like in my initial post. You're not a dick and you're just trying to let people know that they may be getting bad advice and I really appreciate it. Thank you. @Ezzjaybruh As I thought, its probably genetic. Is there anywhere where I can read about this from the Chem genetics? Its hard to find information about it and the breeder won't email me back about it :D. Again, thanks for all the replies fellas.

smh i can't post a url without being filtered... simply google image search - plant avilaibilty ph marijuana - and you can verify that lower pH does not improve N intake. that's overtly not true for all plants, not just marijuana. you can see that lowering ph does not increas N availibility to the plant. in fact, the exact opposite occurs. You can also see why a pH lower than 6 is just stupid. Despite cultural beliefs, the medium you use does not affect the chemistry of the plant. once the water goes in it doens't matter if it was contained in soil, soilless, or just hydro reservoir. To think differently would be absolutely in denial of reality. it happens because ppl did it once, made it work, and their ego immediately jumps to "this is the way" lol.. but it isn't. availability in the plant has nothign to do with the substrate in regard to pH. the suggestsion fo 5,8 for hydro is silly and misguided. all it does is force those to use more N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S to make up for the sub-optimal availability caused by a less than optimal pH. it 'can' work.. but it's not 'better' just bc culture says say. that's faux-science. the ppl proclaimingn it have never tested the hypothesis but have 100% confidence in it.. that's called "faith" not science. might as well pray for your plants too. you were given bad info here. i'm sorry i was a dick about it, but so much bad info has been given in the answers lately. i feel sorry for the ppl taking advice this month. they'll be even more confused going forward.

Have you been monitoring the PH of your water and or medium? Not saying this is it just curious if you have been. Soil tends to balance its own ph easily unless your adding in a lot of things to it that is throwing it off. I would say it could use a bit less N, its looking very healthy over all but almost to dark of a shade of green for me. Would not be surprised if this is part of the problem. When my plants get down below 16c at night they get some weird leaf coloration. more so on the ones that really don't like the cold and the other are fine till it hits 10c. Your diary says temps getting to aorund 17c at night, if they are sometimes going lower I would think that might also have a part to play in it all. I use dry amendments as well and had some issues with them and found I had to mix their formulas up a bit "grow / bloom" and add in magnesium and potassium to make it work better. No idea of the brand you using or the npk ratio but may need to try that. Given that your growing in soil be wary of flushing. it can compact the medium and water log it easily leading to other issues like root rot. Good Luck!

You are having a ph drop because you have over fed. A sudden dark green is usually a great indicator. As ph falls the plant absorbs a bunch of nitrogen easily till it hits a lock out point. Which you are seeing a copper deficiency by the purple color because of lock out. The shade of green in plant tells how much nitrogen is in the plant. After growing for years I have personally experienced it at times. 👍🏻🌱

Twisted growth, well that could be caused by the lst. But normally if the main stem is twisted that's too many nutrients. You could also be having some pH issues also with the discolouration. Give the plant a couple of doses of calmag and see how she goes. Check the runoff ph to make sure that's in range also. Looks good other than that.

Seeing how your leaves have changed in a very short time span, it's a case of overwatering in combination with heat stress. At least thats what i think, cause your leaves are
