High humidity with dehumidifier and no control

My humidity is uncontrollably high at 64%. The plants in there are a mix of flowering, pre-flower and veg. Can I safely close the tent door and just let it all do the thing? I have 2 6" fans one is oscillating and a 4" exhaust fan all at full blast. Will that be safe?

Ppl in the likes of the US that are in flo and so on. Their RH is 70 average all yr round. And, they produce some of the most sought after weed ppl pay silly amounts of money for, "cali". Good practices. Don't getting your buds wet. Great ventilation and so on, and air exchange will promote similar conditions to outdoors. I'll admit when I 1st started growing. My weed was crap. Invested 300e in a 20L meaco A energy rated dehumidifier (mutplie which awards). And I can truly say. All it did was raise my lecky bill by 150e

I feel like you should just sit in front of your grow and think about what about your tent isn't ready for a science degree.

I would say cap the RH at 75, since your tent seems to be creeping that way, if you can't lower the humidity without having to buy a dehumidifier, get one, and think about turning the grow into more than a hobby, start studying botany or something because your going to devote a lot of time to science. Meaning, that your going to have to keep track of times, RH levels, and your going to have to get it just right if you do not want to invest in a remote, and even with a remote you are creeping into a science degree.

I should have mentioned that the 64% RH is with the tent door open. Closed it's at 67%. I have another probe in the lower part of the tent. That reads at 73% door closed.

Yes, a lower RH makes your roots work harder below and can results in less defs and so on. But, that's about it Ppl bang on about strenght and so on. But, the only way optimal RH helps produce better bud, is exactly how I said up on top. The plant feeds better from the bottom. THAT'S IT. RH Is widely misunderstood. Ventilation is your friend. And, excellent Ventilation and changing out stagnant air

1stly. Dehumidifiers for small scale crops ARE NOT NEEDED for hobbyist growers I bought probably one of the best ones on the market. And I haven't used it in 8 months. Good Ventilation. But, if you're going to stick with it. You put it in your grow room and not tents. By lowering the RH in grow room. The tents RH will lower. But, again, good exhaust good Ventilation with fans blowing through your canopy # save yourself 1/3 on electricity, even if you were to use. The extra affects from optimal RH is barely noticeable.

If you have a inexpensive Peltier type dehumidifier they simply don't work well. They can remove the rated water amount if the relative humidity (RH) is 100% but as the humidity drops so does their efficiency. By the time you get to 50% relative humidity they can remove very little water. Chemical dehumidifiers are also ineffective. They can work in an enclosed space like a cabinet or closet but they can only remove a tiny amount of moisture from the air. What you need is an old fashioned compressor type dehumidifier. These have the power to remove a lot of water and they can work at lower humilities. The downside to a dehumidifier is that almost every watt of power it consumes is converted to heat. It will dry the air but it will also heat it which can become it's own problem. Any dehumidifier in a tent with a vent fan is almost useless. The vent fan can blow out the dehumidified air faster than the dehumidifier can make it. The grow room is a good alternative but your dehumidifier must be sized for the lung room AND all the extra water your plants are putting out so it needs to be over sized. Anything small and intended for in tent use will be largely ineffective. Not useless, but it probably won't get you down to 50% RH. I can't think of any solution without buying equipment. If you discharge your tent's exhaust outside then an equal amount of outside air must also leak in to replace it and if your outside air is 84% RH it won't help. A window air conditioner for the lung room is one option. They are relatively inexpensive and can help keep the temperature down so you get double use out of it.

The dehumidifier was in the tent. It's small, built for the grow tent, but now it's in the lung room. (My bedroom) The outside humidity is 84% so there's that too. Anything else I can try that doesn't involve new equipment?

Is your dehumidifier in the tent or lung room? In the tent . Then the air dehumidified will be sucked out and humid lung room air would be pulled in. In the lung room. This is best. You would be better in the lung room and make sure the fans blowing are at least rustling the leaves. More on the later on ones as veg stage won't mind 64%> mold can't settle with a breeze so combat it that way. Get your lung room right thi and you'll be set

Adding to it, I have 2 dehumidifiers and everything running in high to help. It's not helping. Humidity in the lung room is really high due to weather. Just ride it out and check for issues each day? Thanks
