i see it said twice belwo, so i'll repeat it -- aclone of a clone is still an exact copy of the original. any risk of defect is relative to age, and age is the same in any clone. they are all as old as the original plant. they all have same % chance of a mutation occuring. avoid mutated limbs and you will avoid a mutated clone.

that's fine. the potential issue is if your clones fail, then you are taking clones off a plant in bloom and those will re-vege and have lower sucess rate. the ones that live will be absolutely beastly growth of side branching, which you will have to thin out. moms can be a pain in the ass, too. gotta take care of roots (avoid rootbond plant one way or another) or regenerate them occasionally. always take more than you need... don't let anyone tell you a clone of a clone is of lower quality. as long as you take a healthy cutting off a plant, it will be an exact copy. again, always take more than you need. don't take a mutated limb off, lol. fairly easy to avoid... i've had mothers for nearly 2 years and regenerated them every 3-4 months. at no time did my yield or quality of weed every reduce. you can end up with hardened ovules with a very old plant (age measured from original sprout) - these make weed taste liek shit. it'll look fine, but you'll see little white specks you didn't see before in weed and it isn't seeds, lol... not all will do this. some do it sooner than others.

If you are only doing the cycle a few times then nothing to worry about. Long term it will get weaker. Me personally I like different strains, so by the time I make a clone of a clone I have found other strains.

what your doing is something similar to what people know as monster cropping. Monster Cropping happens when you take clones in flower and reveg em, over and over though generations. So your idea of taking clones in veg vs flower using the same process essentially. Its said when clones are taken in flower the reveg the growth is bigger and more branched out for easier filling of the tent. Only read it, no first hand experience. Having a Mother plant is good and all, but if you don't have the space or means for it "extra tent and light" then its w/e. also if the mothers gets a virus or sick, it passes that shit down the line. I think I would do what your doing and just keep cloning it over and over. but I also get sick of the same stain and would use seeds to try out some other ones. plus if you get seeds from a good breeder the results via seed will not be to different. Try Ethos for a good brand. Good Luck!

If you take a cutting from a cutting , you will only make your next harvest weaker. This is why Mother Plants are kept in Veg so you can keep taking cuttings all year round. But because space is limited maybe you should Plant seeds when you have 4 weeks left of flowering with these cutting. then when they come down just repot of the seeds and then when you are about to switch to flower - then take cutting. then repeat the process again. I hope this helps 👌
