One Week and 2nd Germinated Seed didn't break the surface? Hope is lost?

2nd plant didn't sprout yet. It's "brother" is already 5cm high and growing. Both did germinate together, but this one didn't break the soil/medium surface as the other. Is this a lost cause (after 1 week)? Do I continue to wait? Is there something I can do about it? Many thanks!

you should wait longer, but don't have high expectations at this point. if it doesn't sprout within 10-14 days, you can assume it was not viable or it rotted. don't fiddle with it unless you made the substrate like concrete.

I had one plant take 10 days to sprout. I reckon give it 2 weeks & if nothing then, it's a right off .

It's most likely a gonner but you could see if its still growing under the top soil And if so maybe loosen up the soil a bit and maybe she can brake the surface
