How do growers handle runts? Do you toss them out or encourage them and grow them out?

i sow more than i need so i can easily remove the weakest plants. depends on the space you are filling. if you can fill it well with just the strong ones, i wouldn't put in extra effort on weak ones -- without adding any vege time to fill empty space, of course. Time is always part of the consideration. if you got more coverage than expected plant growth, keep it all... The true dwarves can be thrown out. they look retarded before long and easy to spot.

I would discard them.. Exp. when you have so many growing.. throw all the weak ones away and only grow with the strong ones.. I always have regretted when i did not do that.. its just a waste of soil and nutes sometimes and the space can be used for the stronger ones!! I always start with alot of seedlings .. but then its just time to sacrifice some for Odin😁 (and for good crops) But its up 2u.. maybe you feel lucky..😳👍 anything can happen in the world sof cannabis..

I mean all depends on what you’re trying to accomplish here. But personally those 3 smaller ones in the pic are getting culled no matter what for me- cuz they look like genetic mutants more than just runts.

It depends on what your doing with them. If you are just growing for a large harvest of smoke, keep them all, they all have value. If you are breeding or pheno hunting then you have to ask yourself what traits you are looking for and want your stock to posses. Do you want short plants, tall plants, bushy, sparse. Do you want more indica traits or sativa traits. Lots of variables when it comes to selective breeding.
