There really isnโt an exact age or size to start LST on autos, in theory, you can start as soon as the first true leaves grow, I'd recommend start training as soon as your plant can reach the edge of the pot, around 10-15cm or 4 - 6 inches which Shou be about week 3 or 4. As far as methods I would go with the tie down method or even the scrog method.

I have a 1200W Veg/Bloom LED which is currently 20" above Martha. I am also LSTing her and am getting good solid growth from the lowest branches which are working to reach up. I am wondering if raising the light 4-6" and try to stimulate some vertical growth. Is this a good idea?
