Yes, I do mix a little in with my soil mix as it contains many minerals like calcium and magnesium.

I do!!! Not nearly as much as some other growers do and I run a hydro/DWC setup so nutrient availability is a little different than soil. It is magnesium and sulphur, so if you need those elements, you should add it. I use 15-25 PPMs, or I know this isn't the correct measurement because it should be weight, but I do .5ml per gallon or 1/2 teaspoon in 5 gallons and 1 tsp for my 10 gallon reservoirs. I had my water tested and it runs about 15-20 PPMs of Calcium and very little magnesium (1-3) so i use it to balance my water out and give them a little extra magnesium. Extra magnesium could come with issues, locking out calcium, so like everything you add to your feed, you need a balance.

Difference in EC numbers Bluelabs Truncheon VS Digital TDS meter.Can somebody describe what they can see in this picture? I only received it a few days ago, and since have been watering based on what the Truncheon tells me, but few days later i see a toxicity on my plant, and testing it against the Digital TDS meter shows me diff numbers(?)

Flower N-P-K Is there a good "rule of thumb" N-P-K to start with for flowering? I have a 4-6-3, 3-9-4, and 2-2-2 to mix for various N-P-K's. I'd like to get close to an ideal mix when I top dress in a few weeks. I know fertilizer needs will vary by strain, but I'm interested in a baseline.

change to osmosis water I have discovered that my tap water has an EC of 0.8. this led me to order a reverse osmosis filter, but my question is this: what are peoples opinion on changing from tap water to osmosis water in the middle of a grow? PPMs are running high during germination My PPMs are reading 600 in the DWC reservoir, which seems high. Tap water reads 380 normally. Doing a top feed system so the roots will reach the top feed tube in about 2 days if they germinate. Should I do a complete res change or just top up with pH'd RO/distilled water?
