Flowering process, LIGHT GUIDANCE

Samani
Samanistarted grow question 5 years ago
Our plant has been stuck on this flowering process. We’ve been applying light for 24 hours all day and all night. Is this okay? I’ve seen online that when plants enter the blooming stage they’re meant to have 12 hours on and off light But this is an autoflower so is 24h light ok?

I recently had two autoflowers stall for what seemed like a couple of weeks. Flipped to 12 12 for a couple days and they took off. Patience is key. I almost chopped it but came out to be the dankest one I've grown yet. Try 12 12 for a couple of days and then go back to 24 or even 18 6. Good luck friend

hello buddy....! you said "We’ve been applying light for 24 hours all day and all night" 😳 but normally in 24 hours there is the day and the night...if you apllied 24 hours light so .....there is no night at all. 😋 technically an auto can take 24 hours of light but if u do that ur plant will never be at rest....even on some places in earth you will never have 24 hours of full light per day....so this plant will surely appreciate 6hours or a bit less of rest........ so i recomment to you another schedule wich allows to the plant a better cycle to grow/flow correctly ! in your case a 18/6 cycle is recommended....! you can push it to 19/5 or 20/4 but it could be more counterproductive...depends of your strain.....

18, 20 or 24 hours of light all work for autoflowering strains (like yours), meaning that they go into flower regardless of the day lenght. You are in the pre flower phase, where plants go into rapid growth while making room for flowers. Force feeding will lead to nute burn, not more buds. If you want to reach all the plants potential, then you should transplant it to a bigger pot, 1 liter is quite small, think 10 liters, although at this point is kind of late.

18/6 is the standard schedule because when you are applying a 24/0 schedule the plant are going into overdrive and needs more cal mag to thrive than usual , I also wanna put the stress on the fact that ANY living organism needs to rest , so you cannabis plant will appreciate a dark period. That said I will not tell you not to apply the 24/0 as some of the ruderalis are coming from russia where the summer days are very long , some areas even haven't any night during 6 month of the year so in the wild some ruderalis can handle the 24 schedule , it's just that the 18/6 is easier to manage and will also cost you less than a 24/0

Hi @Samani in my opinion the best light cycle for automatic plants is 18 light and 6 dark. Plants need rest during the period without light to form better, leaves, buds and shoots. Certain automatic plants only start to bloom from 6-7 weeks. You can apply only 1 ml of biobloom for now and 1 ml of top max, if the plant responds well every 5 days it increases to 0.5 ml of both. good luck mate 🙏👍
