Exhaust fan/filter help!!!

i installed a 6" exhaust fan and carbon filter. its trying to suck the entire tent up. i have one 4" vent hole. it isn't enough. what should i do? on a budget.

I'm sorry to say this but on a budget I think you may have to cut some holes... Still shouldn't let the smell out as long as you don't cut too many and the exhaust fan is always running....A better tent could also take care of your needs depending on budget. I hope this helps....I would say smaller fan but I think even that would fail with a 4 inch vent... happy growing ✌️👊

You might try forcing air into the tent using another fan. Need a lot of intake for a 6" fan. Is it variable speed?

Hello Lazer. The Harbinger says try to mount your fan inside your tent if at all possible. Or if you have too. You can leave the door open a crack but consider using a towel or something to cover it. If you absolutely have to cut holes do it on the side against a wall or somewhere you can put a make shift filter/cover over.

Hi @LAzerBEAN buy two 6 "to 4" reducers for the extractor, and use a 4 "tube. you can find this for sale at any large DIY store or growshop. there are plastic or aluminum, I prefer plastic.Good luck mate 👍
