Seems a little price for a small tent and 100w light. even if it's high efficacy, Less than 25w/sq ft is not good enough to grow photoperiods in that tent. There own spec sheet lies about the light... PPF 219 μmol/S @AC120V / 218 μmol/S @AC240V PPE 2.5 µmol/J (Highest efficiency 3.14 μmol/j single diode) You can't be 2.5umol/J and only produce 220umol/s PAR, lol... So, the efficacy is 2.2umol/J which is incredibly low for a LED. 219 umol/s for .5m^2 is underpowered too. This has othe rramifications, too. Running the diodes that hot means reduced longevity.. 55,000 hours is a lie, too. Nothing on this light is 3.14umol/J efficacy when you run the diodes as hot as they do. The testing paramaters on samsung.com is the basis for comparison. Maybe it's EU pricing, but 360 is a lot for a 70dollar tent, 70 dollar light, 50 dollar exhaust fan, 10 dollar clip fan and some app. For autos - 55-60 umol/s per sq ft is a good start.. for photperiods, you want 150% more or 85ish umol/s PAR per sq ft. This will get you ~38-39DLI, give or take. you want a light that can produce enough to match the tent. Don't be afraid to buy each piece. There doesn't seem to be any price break for the package.

This is a great forum for this question. Different growers from different countries and extensive experience. At the very least we have all been in your shoes! My contribution would be to get a system with a controller that allows for remote monitoring and ability to change. Compatibility with the components is recommended.

If you want to go cheaper just buy a tent, light(s) and extraction fan and wall fan second hand. Also how many plant you want to grow? that set up is really for 1 plant. so second hand tent 90,90,180 £50 (2 plants) new light - 100w vivosun etc £100 extraction fan used £50 pots and soil £20 some sort of new temp/humidity senser £15 lots of choices !! good luck.

All sensors, cameras and sockets can be controlled from alexa and to get all the things you need is cheap.. Like temp/RH sensor. A smart socket extension, rig it all to alexa I even have an echo dot that controls all lights fans, extractors and heater by voice if needs be.. That's the control set up just but the tent and rest separately for best price.

@00110001001001111O, 91$ tent 46$ fan 108$ light 200$ inline fan kit with carbon filter and hose 80$ controller with sensors 10$ "some app" 20$ mini shelves, hygrometer, pots, scrog net, yellow stickers, garden wire and all the hardware to set it up like velcro straps, clamps, pulleys for the lamp, cables to connect all the stuff and so on. Even if you order them directly from china, they are sold at that price. And I don't know any free app with these functions, ready to read, control and manage all of your devices. I'd love to see you build a cheaper tent with the same quality and features. Can you list the products of which prices you are referring to? 😃 Imho price is not made the sum of the parts, it's about the convenience and the added value of the product. That's what they sell. It just works and is easy to set up. You get almost everything you need to start growing indoors on a decent level.

I think any controlled is better than no controller. Makes growing so much easier. I personally have used the AC infinity controller 69 pro and then upgraded to the AC infinity controller AI+ But spider farmer and vivosun all have good options. I think it just depends on what equipment you'll need. Like are you in a dry area or in a humid area? For me I need both, a humidifier and a dehumidifier depending on the time of year. I would also personally get a stronger grow light than that. For a 3x3 or 2x4 I would recommend a 300watt grow light but a lot of the time they'll sell you a 100 watt which is normally labeled as 1000 something in the name. At minimum for flowering I would need at least 200 watts otherwise your flower will become fluffy and low yield. Its better to have more power that you don't need than less power, needing more power.

I am using this setup and I really like it. The app is super nice, you can add more components for Co2, PPFD and so on. It has wifi, so you can check your tent from around the globe with your phone. It gives you humidity, temps, EC in soil, humidity in soil, temp in soil, calculated VPD from the get go. The fans are a litte cheap or I was unlucky with mine. The first one started making noise when oscillating after 2 months. Spiderfarmer sent me a replacement, free of charge. Customer service was nice. Afaik, Spider farmer, AC Infinity and Mars Hydro come from the same factory in china. So they are basically the same in price/quality. I can recommend it. If you can get it during black friday or another sale, it's a great deal.

I bought this one, check my 2 harvested plants, I used this to grow. The LED is good to grow 1 or 2 medium plants, one of my plants gave 40g other gave 60g. 100g with this set up. the tent is solid quality. 10/10. Later on I bought a bigger LED to upgrade but this 100W one is pretty good for the size.
