Best Soil Mix

It's good stuff as is. If your growing autos for your first grow it's perfect and has everything you need to get through Veg. Add some extra perlite and you are good to go!

There is a suggested mix, right on the bag of OF. I use a 3:1 mix of OF and LightWarrior. It buffers the "hotness"(is that a word?) of that soil, without diluting the micro-nutrients so much. Also, the LightWarrior will add the necessary perlite and other ingredients, to keep that soil from compacting during your grow. I also find, that this mixture is good for at least 30days of active growing (without added nutes), more, depending on strain, and how fast it gobbles up the micros. After that, it is flower time, or getting close to.

@Dre25.....np dude ! if you only have coco ? no 50% it will be too much.....'cause coco and also your soil... watering after watering... will compact by force....and most of all auto's need aerated media for oxygen... that s why perlite or vermiculite (even better) is added....if you don't have never mind u cut at maximum to 30/35% with coco....and u can do a foot print like that growdiaries.com/diaries/33542-purple-haze-the-7-chakra/week/159076 or even a three layers as i usually do for auto....and shown in the purple haze auto diary especially when i test a new one that i don't know ! so in the footprint you can cut to 50% 50% and only use roots accelerant .....quick grow guarented if under good conditions 👊 normally no need other nute to the second weeks of flow.... or just for the stretch phase with a bit of cal and mag.... and when u will strat to use bloom nutes go easy and increase softly step by step good grow mate

Will MotherEarth perlite would be good?

I am using promix and feel it is of comparable composition....it lists organic 0.1 0.1 0.1 fertilizer distributed by slow release granules

You can mix some perlite for aeration and water retention , something around 1/3 perlite and 2/3 Ocean forest.

Thanks Bird for your advice, so 50 ocean and 50 coco will work? I was looking it up earlier and can't found the answer so that's why I'm here. Real growers.

hi. as it is a rich mix (guano, seafood, worms fulvic...) i highly recommend to you to cut this mix for your autos....cause if u use it out of the bag it could really be counterproductive.... coco and more perlite are good choice arounf 40% of cutting this will allow your roots to quickly colonize your pot....and more root better plant especially on autos with very short cycles you can add beneficial fungus and bacterias wich will be very helpfull for your plant/yield as a bio regulator /fertilizer but most of all i recommend you to google : guide to grow autoflowering, or best soil for autoflowers....to avoid some mistakes if the amnesia is a fast version photo u can use ur mix after 2 weeks of veg....as foxfarm says this mix doesn't need an additionnal feeding to the flow phase.... good luck good grow
