Sativa Defoliation in Flower?

How, when, or should I defoliate this Alice Nicole sativa in flower? She's a mess, and could use better light penetration and airflow. What leaves to remove? Most seem to be attached to a bud site. This is my first sativa and ScrOG grow, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks🙏

Once you harvested a Sativa you would know what to remove. A spoiler is that lower small branches don't produce much. So, do it! Lower leaves and tiny branches. But do it a little each day. Plan for four-five days. Too much at one go will stress her too much and she might produce hermaphordite flowers.

I personally would remove some of the inner leaves facing the center of the plant. You want to make sure to leave a bit of the leaf stem to support the growing buds. As well remove any leaves that have what I like to call the water fall effect which is essentially shading other bud sites. Not sure if you did this already or if you decide to but now would be a great time to go and remove some of those lower bud sites so you get chunkier top Colas

I would have removed the lower leaves , maybe some of the top leaves that are blocking light but slightly
