Hello growers, what do you think of this strain and its growth? It looks almost like a pure sativa, or what do you think?

A close friend of mine recently grew Dr. Zaius OG, and he couldn’t stop talking about how solid it turned out. He said the buds were super dense and covered in resin, with THC around the 27% mark - definitely strong stuff. Yield-wise, he was really happy too, pulling somewhere near 550g/m² in about 8–9 weeks. From what he told me, it’s also pretty easy to handle. It stayed around 1.2m and didn’t need much extra work, though he did mention the buds got quite heavy, so some support like stakes or a scrog net helped a lot toward the end. Looks were a big highlight - deep purple buds with a really frosty finish. Apparently, it’s got serious bag appeal. He also really liked the flavor - described it as creamy lemon with some herbal and slightly spicy notes, almost like a lemon dessert with a hint of cinnamon. As for the effects, he said it’s powerful but nicely balanced - good for creativity and lifting the mood without knocking you out if you keep it moderate. Overall, from what I’ve heard, it sounds like a great strain if you’re after something potent, high-yielding, and not too demanding, with standout looks and flavor. Looking forward to seeing your harvest. Definitely a diary worth following! 😇

If it is an automatic or a fast version, I would rather go with a ruderalis growth-pattern and not with a sativa-growth-pattern.

dr. grinspoon type growth. I've seen something similar on an autoflower long agi. Seen less drastic version of it in my current crop, too. May or may not be the same genetics between them all but a similar growth pattern for sure. It's not a trait they should be selecting for, imo. Grinspoon's was an accident and its value was increasing potency with anything it was bred with in hopes of avoiding that weird popcorn growth pattern. I guess with that pheno you just need what would be an overcrowded canopy under normal circumstances and yield might be tolerable. You'd have to really put in the effort to cause a crowded canopy, lol.

Hey there. It's fascinating to see this structure; we are clearly looking at something very Sativa-typed, that's undeniable. It almost looks like a "Landrace" (wild variety) or a hybrid with a very strong Sativa dominance. Here’s my analysis of what your photos reveal: Morphology "Lanky" structure: The branches are long, thin, and the nodes (the space between the leaves) are very spaced out. This is typical of Sativas that grow in tropical regions where they need to stretch to capture light under the canopy of trees. Slender leaves: The "fingers" of the leaves are extremely thin and long, another classic characteristic that allows the plant to transpire effectively in hot and humid climates. Flower development (Bud structure) Airing flowering: You can see that the flowers do not form big compact blocks (like an Indica), but develop in "spikes" along the stem. This is a natural strategy to avoid mold: air circulates much better through these less dense buds. Prominent pistils: The plant produces a lot of very long white pistils, which suggests that it is still in full development phase and will take time to mature. Yes, it has a very strong Sativa dominance. I wish you a great continuation. Have a good day!

Just did a quick research on this strain because first I tought that it was streching for more light but then I saw your diary and you've got more then enough light. The Sativa dominance in this strain comes from its parentage involving landrace or high-sativa hybrid genetics typical of "Haze" lineages, often crossed with earthy/citrus strains to produce high levels of Limonene and Cedrene. So it is a Haze plant with an uplifting high. Looks interesting for day time tho! 💚
