I start mine outdoor from seed with no problems. You started yours indoors so it's best to do a transition to the outdoors. For a 2-3 week seedling it wont take long to harden off. This can be done in 3 days. First day move it outdoors in a protected shaded area. Second day you can move it to some early morning full sun for2-3 hrs. Then move it back to the protected shaded area. Then in the evening you can move it back out to the sun for the last 2 hrs. Third day give the plant full sun for 6 hrs from early morning. Then move it back to a shaded area. That will make it safe for full time sun from then on. IF the days are all cloudy being outdoors for 3 days on cloudy days you can still give the plant full sun on day 4. The purple on the leaves is from the genetics not a deficiency. It's a specific genetic predispositions within the species. The banana mash auto the purple hues are a recognized aesthetic feature that emerges in many specimens.😍

The purple is just genetics in any common sense context. If the plant is being treated oddly or exposed to a whack climate, that may be exaggerated.. it may or may not keep that coloration as it matures.. more often it does not, but a rare plant will have exotic colors. Here's a plant that showed the exotic colors initially, then had a little extra purple at harvest, too. Trying to open image in it;s own page lead to a 'download' prompt... so it's the 6th image from the end of week 1 -- growdiaries.com/diaries/205494-buncha-stuff-grow-journal-by-001100010010011110

Could be coloration from the sun. It looks healthy overall to me and I think its a no issue as long as its getting a proper feed every now and then. Confirm you are providing a sufficient amount of your Macros and MIcros, aka check your fertilizer, as not a lot of information in your diary. So accuracy in answers is going to be limited as their are a lot of unknowns. Also if its an outdoor plant it should not be letting you specify the lighting time as outdoors is just outdoors unless they changed the site.

i'm behaving 😎 While a lack of nitrogen (N) typically causes uniform yellowing on older, lower leaves, severe N deprivation can stunt growth and cause purple or reddish pigments (anthocyanin) to accumulate in stems, veins, or new shoots👈

hi Euro Garden....

Think your local weather is the answer to that... if you don't live in the same latitude as the person suggesting something, it won't be accurate.

hello I would tell you to pay attention to environmental shock. Direct sun (UV), strong wind and nighttime temperature variations can easily kill or block a seedling of this size. I would advise you if you want to put it outside, you must go gradually. Take it out for 1 to 2 hours the first day in the shade or under hazy sun, then increase the time each day for a week before leaving it completely outside. Pay attention to the calendar! Make sure nighttime temperatures no longer drop below 18°C in your area before letting her spend the night outside. I don't think purple stems are a deficiency. I would rather say seen in your photo, we can clearly see that the main stem and the petioles (the stems of the leaves) are purple/purple. At this stage (2 weeks), it is usually not a deficiency. The real causes I would say genetics. Many varieties naturally have purple stems from the start. Cool temperature. If nights or the growing environment fall below 20°C, the plant produces purple pigments, which colors the stem. I wish you beautiful and good crops. good luck with that one.

Yes, too early for full-time outside with full sun, especially if there is any danger of frost or near-frost temperatures (and if it has only received indirect light so far). As @cangrowz mentioned, harden it off, meaning give it short a spell outside, then a longer one, progressively increasing the time outside over a few days, at which point it can be left outside all day including over night.

Two weeks is a bit early to just throw her out there without a proper hardening-off phase, so make sure you gradually acclimate her to the direct sun and wind for a few hours a day first. As for the purple tint, at such a young age it’s usually not a deficiency but more likely a reaction to cooler night temperatures or even just genetics. Just keep a close eye on the pH levels and make sure she isn't getting too cold at night before you leave her out for good. Happy Growing Growmie🌱
