April 25, Cbg2 was 2 days behind 4-25 CBG 1 4-23 in popping the soil. Since I had my first grow in the tent drying and couldn't use the tent, I put the seedlings under small led in the sunroom on a heat mat. Environmental temps ranged from 46-58. Not ideal for veg cycle and this slowed the growth of the sprouts. Throughout the diary, I will be featuring the beautiful works of Alphonse Mucha. The fluid form and sensuality of his art in the Art Nouveau style captures the essence of Goddesses for my diary. And since both my grandmother and my mother were born during his fame in the early 1900's, it is only fitting to combine tribute with Alphonse Mucha's art to convey the Goddesses of Mother and Healing. My grandmother was born in 1899. She raised her only son as a single mother. She was educated and found work as a secretary to a corporate executive. The depression came and then World War II. My father (her son) joined the Army Corps and went to war. My grandmother was an artist and photographer for which she won many awards. During her photographic heyday she created a colorizing technique for black and white (actually sepia at the time) photographs. I will show some of her art as well and I will indicate as such. My mother was born in 1922 after her my grandfather settled a homestead in the Wyoming 1906. The gypsy spirit was born into her blood. When she graduated Teachers college in the 50s, she applied to the state department to teach overseas. She was assigned to Japan where she taught the children of the officers and diplomats stationed in Japan after WWII. While there she embraced the food, culture and arts. She learned Japanese cooking, Summe- Japanese drawing style, painting and Ikebana, Japanese floral design. I will show some of her art as well and I will indicate as such. I give my gratitude to the matriarchs that have influenced my life. Thank you, friends for following me on my journey. About Alphonse Mucha Born: July 24, 1860 - Ivančice, Moravia (Czech Republic) Died: July 14, 1939 - Prague, Czech Republic Movements and Styles: , Japonism Mucha was famous for his commercial posters, which had a wide audience, but he also worked in a variety of other media, including furniture, sculpture, jewelry, and theatrical sets. He mostly worked in Vienna and Paris, but was also in Chicago, where he taught at the Art Institute, from 1904 to 1910. There, he introduced his interpretation of the "new art" to a United States audience. The densely patterned posters epitomize the Art Nouveau interest in natural forms, decoration, and a rejection of the anonymity of mechanical production. Mucha shot to fame in 1894 with his theatre poster for Gismonda. The leading actress, Sarah Bernhardt was an internationally famous, and by association with her, Mucha quickly became famous as well. Bernhardt put him under contract, and Mucha created many promotional posters for her, as well as costumes and stage sets. Amid the Belle Γ‰poque posters Mucha's style was a hit. Collectors stole his posters from billboards, dubbing his style "Le Style Mucha." But he felt art must do more than be visually pleasing; it must communicate a spiritual message and uplift its viewers. Mass-produced art appealed to him, since it could reach and inspire more people. In posters for perfume, beer, biscuits, bicycles, and Job Cigarettes (1896) he blurred the barrier between fine art and commercial art, between commerce and philosophy. Drawing from the influences of the Pre-Raphelites, Hans Makart, and Japanese wood cuts Mucha developed his unique style. His style was organic and ornate, graceful and dynamic, with curving, swooping lines and Byzantine borders, lettering, and frames. His iconic 'Mucha woman' had curves, flowing hair, pastel robes, and often a halo of light or flowers, which recall the haloes from the religious icons he saw throughout his boyhood. Mucha's women burst with life; in stark contrast to the Symbolist femme fatales, (such as Edvard Munch's Madonna) Mucha's women are not a dangerous temptation to be resisted.

What is going on? Cbg2 has yellowing in leaves. I had to re transplant again to better soil. Is it moving stress or nutrients or other?

The yellowing, It's on the bottom growth first, which means it's taking stored nutrients from older leaves to make new ones, Nitrogen is a mobile nutrient and fits the bill. Was it always planted in the fabric pot? Or was it airpot like the other more vibrant plant?

Natronastarted grow question a year ago
CBG1 aka Gaia has lighter color leaves yellowish green at the top but the lower leaves are darker green. Using TPS1 at a reduced rate. She was first in bloom. Her node structure is shorter than CBG2. Nowhere close to harvest. What is going on

Immobile micronutrients, manganese, zinc or iron, all show early symptoms of deficiency with interveinal chlorosis (yellowing).

CBG2 leaves curl and fold down WHY? . Potted in fabric bag, seated on 3 stones in drain bin. Receives same fertilizer TPS1 and water schedule as all in tent. Was last to pop soil. Almost 10 inches taller than Gaia CBG1. I thought she was dehydrated from the fans blowing.

Your overwatering (the sag) and to much nitrogen ( the clawing leaves) This has caused some lockout issues in your plant. Test your runoff water and get your ec and ph back to proper levels for the substrate your using.
Natrona
Natronastarted grow question a year ago
7/27 Fert values ec 2.13, ppm 1490, ph 6.5 Runoff values following 3 weeks flushing. Cream caramel and Gaia low ec 1.0 or less, 814 or 700 ppm. Ph 6.7 and 6.47 uptaking nutrients-ok >Circe ec 1.86, ppm 1090 ph 6.0. Still nutrient lockout? Is it soil ph? And how do I fix?

you were overfeeding the plant from week 6 on, it looks like based on the diary. That's the primary cause of the curling and damage. 1,3-1,5 ec is a much better range to be in. you can always test a particular plant's boundaries, but most like this. Relative to environemtn, when near what is needed to provide for max growth rate, it takes weeks if not a month or more before you see if it is something that is building up or becoming deficient in the leaves. Then, you have all the relativistic relationships among the various nutrients in fertilizers to contend with. It's fairly complicated. You can see the research represented in various hydro nutes like southern ag's, jack's, masterblend etc.. they all have a base of 5-12-26 plus or minus a bit here or there, and paired with calcium nitrate. these ratios have been systematically resolved through cross referencing more data than any one of use can possibly accrue with a small garden, or even a big residential garden. it ends up being somethign like 1:1:2 (7-7-15 is a better resolution, if i recall). Do that at 1,3 to 1,5 EC and enough ca/mg/s relative to your tap water, and bam.. it's smooth sailing. minor adjustments that take weeks or longer to see the results after that.

My CBG plants 112 days from seed are forming new calyx hairs after nutrients lockout. Are they revived and ready to harvest or starting over from scratch delaying harvest? For CBG do you wait to harvest at 20% amber or 100% milky? When do you harvest CBG or CBD?

Hi buddy, he formation of new calyx hairs after nutrient lockout might indicate recovery, but it's important to focus on trichome development for harvest readiness. Harvest CBG-dominant strains when trichomes are mostly milky, and for CBD strains, aim for a mix of milky and a few amber trichomes. Always observe and monitor the plants closely to make an informed decision based on your desired cannabinoid content and effects. but in your case you could pass your harved window already, that's where the plant starts to produce the banana nugs again. But check trichs if still worth it and chop it sooner than later if worth it for you buddy :) if you got any more questions feel free to follow and send me a DM :) All the best and good luck!!

@KnightRider, except as stated as my mom's paintings, all art work is by Alphonse Mucha, a Czech artist from early 1900s. See week 1 veg for description of him and his work.

I've yet to name any plants. "Bitch, hardy bitch, moany bitch. Sexy bitch." They're my names Iol Also, I've been seeing a lot of ppl who are mentioning playing music to their plants. Wonder if I can to a test with clones. Will be a bit hard as sound travels. Wonder if I use my beat ear pieces & put them on the sides of 1 real low, so the other can't hear🀣🀣 Either that r sound proofing. Or different rooms but, that changes environment and so on though, so idk how you'd do a fair music test to compare. #look-at mythbusters Looking really well. Lovely white roots in their droves sticking through. They'll quickly clean up any runoff.

@Natrona,I like to name my plants after the strain as well, or more accurately in the "spirit of the strain and how they are progressing when working with them. typically the names come to me after the first 3 weeks of growth. gripping diary so far, looking forward to more entries.😊.

@gottagrowsometime, yes 🎢 does influence plant growth and health. Classical is what they like best. No Heavy metal, they will die. I play my folk, new age, and dance music when I'm in the grow room. 🎢

I have to say that there is something very therapeutic with regards to growing cannabis. They need so much to reach their full potential. They also give so much in return.
