This grow is my first non_THC cannabis grow. As a post cancer patient, now Cancer-free, I want to find every natural means to prevent reoccurrence. As CBG is called the Mother of all Cannabinoids, I named this diary the Goddesses and is to honor my Grandmother and my Mother and as tribute to all women My goddesses represent Mother and Healing. My plan is to incorporate CBG into my edibles, health & beauty aids like deodorant, toothpaste, bath salts or bombs and cleaning products. Follow the pictures, I modified the direct to soil method by having a seed start cylinder surrounded by the final grow medium. After 20 hours in water with splash hydrogen peroxide and coconut water, I put the seeds in a peat pot as described above. I removed to cylinder after filling the sides of the pot. CBG1 Mother popped soil 4/23 and CBG2 Healing popped soil 4/25 two days later than the others. I have their names in mind. Who wants to offer any suggestions? The following article is from The Cannigma which is a cannabis research institute out of Israel. Lots of information there on research. CBG ‘very helpful’ when treating medical conditions, first survey of its kind finds. by Ben Hartman CBG is often referred to as “the mother of all cannabinoids,” because it is produced first by the plant and then converted into other cannabinoids (The Cannigma) The majority of people who use the cannabinoid cannabigerol (CBG) for medical reasons find it to be helpful or very helpful in treating a variety of health conditions, according to the findings of a recent survey. Published in Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research in late September, the survey found that the majority of respondents reported that their health conditions were “very much improved” or “much improved” by the use of CBG.1 When asked what concentration of CBG appears to be most effective, Dr. Ethan Russo, one of the authors of the study, told The Cannigma “I would not put it in terms of concentration. Rather, doses of CBG of 5 mg or above orally seem to exert noticeable effects.” Regarding what patients need to know before beginning treatment with CBG, Dr. Michelle Sexton, another author of the study told The Cannigma, “the most important thing a patient needs to know is that we have no data on what an efficacious dose of CBG is, or what it might be effective for. We have no safety data on any doses of CBG either. It has mainly been tried in mice, not humans.” Sexton added that the high efficacy levels shown in the respondents’ answers “could easily be attributed to THC since most of the responders to the survey were using ‘cannabis’ and not isolated CBG. These efficacy levels have been reported in other surveys about cannabis. People using cannabis may be biased about its effectiveness, as these same efficacy levels are not necessarily reflected in patient populations.” The survey also found that an overwhelming majority of respondents believe that CBG-predominant cannabis has greater efficacy than conventional medicines, including 73.9% of the respondents who use it to treat chronic pain, 80% of those reported using it for depression, 73% of respondents with insomnia, and 78.3% who have used it to treat anxiety. Forty-percent of the respondents reported no adverse effect, and 84.3% reported no withdrawal symptoms. The most common health conditions among the sample group were anxiety (51.2%), chronic pain (40.9%), depression (33.1%), and insomnia/distrubed sleep (30.7%). There are some marked limitations with the survey, however. For one, it involved a very small sample size. Only 127 eligible participants (US residents over the age of 21 who reported using CBG-predominant cannabis in the past 6 months) took part in the study, which was carried out by way of an online survey. No clinical trial was used in the compilation of the study. The researchers themselves wrote that the study is the first “to document self-reported efficacy of CBG-predominant products,” and provides further indication that “CBG-predominant cannabis-based medicines should be studied in randomized controlled trials.” Why is CBG ‘the mother of all cannabinoids?’ CBG is, like CBD (cannabidiol), a cannabinoid that can provide some health benefits without any of the intoxicating effects of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). GCBG is often referred to as “the mother of all cannabinoids,” because it is produced first by the plant and then converted into other cannabinoids. In other words, without CBG we wouldn’t have cannabinoids like THCA, CBDA, and CBCA. There is far less research on the efficacy and safety of CBG than there is for CBD and THC, both of which are far better known to the average cannabis consumer. CBG works differently than other cannabinoids, in that its effects are mainly the result of binding with families of receptors such as TRPs and PPARs, and not the body’s endocannabinoid system. Some of the suggested possible uses of CBG include in the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease or multiple sclerosis, as well as metabolic diseases like diabetes.2, 3 As of today, there have been no human clinical trials on the efficacy or safety of CBG in order to provide us with a clearer picture of its potential health benefits. What is going on? Cbg2 has yellowing in leaves. I had to re transplant again to better soil. Is it moving stress or nutrients or other?

The yellowing, It's on the bottom growth first, which means it's taking stored nutrients from older leaves to make new ones, Nitrogen is a mobile nutrient and fits the bill. Was it always planted in the fabric pot? Or was it airpot like the other more vibrant plant?

Natronastarted grow question 2 years ago
CBG1 aka Gaia has lighter color leaves yellowish green at the top but the lower leaves are darker green. Using TPS1 at a reduced rate. She was first in bloom. Her node structure is shorter than CBG2. Nowhere close to harvest. What is going on

Immobile micronutrients, manganese, zinc or iron, all show early symptoms of deficiency with interveinal chlorosis (yellowing).

CBG2 leaves curl and fold down WHY? . Potted in fabric bag, seated on 3 stones in drain bin. Receives same fertilizer TPS1 and water schedule as all in tent. Was last to pop soil. Almost 10 inches taller than Gaia CBG1. I thought she was dehydrated from the fans blowing.

Your overwatering (the sag) and to much nitrogen ( the clawing leaves) This has caused some lockout issues in your plant. Test your runoff water and get your ec and ph back to proper levels for the substrate your using.

Natronastarted grow question 2 years ago
7/27 Fert values ec 2.13, ppm 1490, ph 6.5 Runoff values following 3 weeks flushing. Cream caramel and Gaia low ec 1.0 or less, 814 or 700 ppm. Ph 6.7 and 6.47 uptaking nutrients-ok >Circe ec 1.86, ppm 1090 ph 6.0. Still nutrient lockout? Is it soil ph? And how do I fix?

you were overfeeding the plant from week 6 on, it looks like based on the diary. That's the primary cause of the curling and damage. 1,3-1,5 ec is a much better range to be in. you can always test a particular plant's boundaries, but most like this. Relative to environemtn, when near what is needed to provide for max growth rate, it takes weeks if not a month or more before you see if it is something that is building up or becoming deficient in the leaves. Then, you have all the relativistic relationships among the various nutrients in fertilizers to contend with. It's fairly complicated. You can see the research represented in various hydro nutes like southern ag's, jack's, masterblend etc.. they all have a base of 5-12-26 plus or minus a bit here or there, and paired with calcium nitrate. these ratios have been systematically resolved through cross referencing more data than any one of use can possibly accrue with a small garden, or even a big residential garden. it ends up being somethign like 1:1:2 (7-7-15 is a better resolution, if i recall). Do that at 1,3 to 1,5 EC and enough ca/mg/s relative to your tap water, and bam.. it's smooth sailing. minor adjustments that take weeks or longer to see the results after that.

My CBG plants 112 days from seed are forming new calyx hairs after nutrients lockout. Are they revived and ready to harvest or starting over from scratch delaying harvest? For CBG do you wait to harvest at 20% amber or 100% milky? When do you harvest CBG or CBD?

Hi buddy, he formation of new calyx hairs after nutrient lockout might indicate recovery, but it's important to focus on trichome development for harvest readiness. Harvest CBG-dominant strains when trichomes are mostly milky, and for CBD strains, aim for a mix of milky and a few amber trichomes. Always observe and monitor the plants closely to make an informed decision based on your desired cannabinoid content and effects. but in your case you could pass your harved window already, that's where the plant starts to produce the banana nugs again. But check trichs if still worth it and chop it sooner than later if worth it for you buddy :) if you got any more questions feel free to follow and send me a DM :) All the best and good luck!!

I've yet to name any plants. "Bitch, hardy bitch, moany bitch. Sexy bitch." They're my names Iol Also, I've been seeing a lot of ppl who are mentioning playing music to their plants. Wonder if I can to a test with clones. Will be a bit hard as sound travels. Wonder if I use my beat ear pieces & put them on the sides of 1 real low, so the other can't hear🤣🤣 Either that r sound proofing. Or different rooms but, that changes environment and so on though, so idk how you'd do a fair music test to compare. #look-at mythbusters Looking really well. Lovely white roots in their droves sticking through. They'll quickly clean up any runoff.

@Natrona,I like to name my plants after the strain as well, or more accurately in the "spirit of the strain and how they are progressing when working with them. typically the names come to me after the first 3 weeks of growth. gripping diary so far, looking forward to more entries.😊.

I have to say that there is something very therapeutic with regards to growing cannabis. They need so much to reach their full potential. They also give so much in return. Hoping that your cancer journey is at a place that you are on the winning side at the moment. I may be inspired to tray a CBG plant myself next season!! 💪
