Introduction - Week 00 Summary - Ensign's log, stardate 9168.89, Back with another newbie grow attempt! About my previous grow log, had issues with growth, so started another one which ended up with a surprisingly successful harvest! For the first time, got a pretty terpy tasting crop (not hay boof) with a yield that might be enough to make it to next harvest (need to conserve, but happy). I understand now that after a proper dry, buds should have good flavor going into curing. Also there were technical issues and ended up losing sensor data (soil sensor failures along with tent controller issues). Problems aside, made it through two harvests (not sure if I’m going to be uploading those logs, but might later). Anyways, just stoked to start this grow! Always learning and always growing! Popping some new genetics! Attempting to grow some ‘Garlic Budder’ by ‘Humboldt Seeds Company!’ Was planning on growing more ‘Bruce Banger’ (‘Seedsman’), but since I got an extra seed (my 10-pack somehow had 11 seeds), decide at the last moment to make this cycle a full Garlic Budder grow. Started this log a bit early due to an unexpected AC Infinity delivery! My pre-order for the Thermoforge T3 arrived early! This was germination week! Checked the seeds 2 days later and both popped (actually looked like they were on the pads for too long), but planted both anyways. Thankfully within 24hrs they were both fully sprouted and stretching up towards the light! Had issues with cover crop sprouting (pretty much none of them survived). Also been dealing with soil mites. But aside from that, Wow what a week! Growth is going way quicker than anticipated. Growth was so fast that I completely forgot to take height readings (Oops). Not sure if it’s because she’s the nearest to heater, but between the two, #2 is definitely stretching taller. Next week begins the seedling week! Plan to dial in the light along with continuing start some sort of cover crop growth. Please keep in mind that I am in no way an expert at growing anything (literally). This is not a tutorial grow. I’m just a beginner hobbyist home grower trying to cultivate my own medicine for my own personal use. I do not encourage anyone to grow this way (my average success rate is not the best… yet). I’m just trying to learn to grow while logging the results. Okay! Steady as she grows Ensign.. Engage! 🖖 [START OF WEEK 00] ========================================================== Garlic Budder #1 - WEEK 00 - Germination Garlic Budder #2 - WEEK 00 - Germination 02/26/24 → 03/03/24 This Week's Estimated Goals ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DLI: ~13 mol/m2/d PPFD: ~200 μmol/m2/s VPD: ~1.0 kPa This Week's Meter Readings & Averages ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DLI: 13.09 mol/m2/d PPFD: 202 μmol/m2/s VPD: 1.06 kPa Soil %: [35.9, 34.3, 36.7, 35.6] ========================================================== Day 00 - Friday - 02/23/24 - Total Days: 000 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 00.0°F [00.0°C] - Humidity: 00.0% - VPD: 00.0 kPa - Soil %: [00, 00, 00, 00] ----------------------------------- - [22:09]: Oh what! Got a package! --- Pre-ordered the new AC Infinity Thermoforge T3. --- This was supposed to arrive later in March. --- Pretty hyped that I got my pre-order delivered early! --- Thanks AC Infinity! - [22:17]: Wow she’s beautiful! --- Like all AC Infinity products, the Thermoforge T3 looks sleek and clean! --- The unit also doesn’t weight much. --- The intake is on the back of the unit with a removable dust guard (twist off). --- The back of the unit is also where the UIS cable (USB-C cable) and temperature probe are attached. --- The plug and power cable is located under the unit and is conveniently wrapped around the inside of the base. --- The Thermoforge T3 also came with an extension tube along with the necessary cables and instructional manuals. --- The diameter of the tubing is a bit smaller than I thought it would be (~2.5in). - [22:24]: Time to upgrade! --- Removed the old heater (Honeywell Heat Bud Mini) --- On the opposite side (bottom front right), removed the intake vent. --- Placed the unit just outside the tent right next to the tent’s intake. --- Straightened the exhaust tube before bending it backwards into the tent. --- From the inside of the tent, the vent was sealed using the pull straps. --- Nice! Have to say that with the unit outside the tent, the floor is a lot more spacious. - [22:54]: Plugged and turned the unit on. --- Removed the UIS plug cover and attached the included cable from the Thermoforge T3 to the Controller 69 Pro. Notably, the provided cable is specifically created for this heater (one side has a grommet seal). --- Time to install and setup the Thermoforge T3. - [23:05]: In the AC Infinity app, --- Within the ‘Vegetative [18/6]’ Automation Schedule, --- For the Heater (Honeywell Heat Bud Mini): ------ Set the Mode to ‘Continuous Target’ ------ Set the Temperature target value to 79°F ------ Set the Minimum/Maximum value to 0/7 ------ Set the Temperature Buffer value to 3°F --- Pretty much the same settings as the original heater but with the added control of fan speed (the old unit had just low and high speed). --- Will adjust these settings as needed. --- Did not need the extension tubing, but good to have just in case. --- Done! --- Wow! This grow is starting off better than expected! --- Had to include this in the grow log! --- Just a few more days until seed popping! --- Getting stoked! - [+00:39]: Okay getting a bit warm. Adjusting the tent conditions. --- In the AC Infinity app, --- Within the ‘Vegetative [18/6]’ Automation Schedule, --- For the Heater (Honeywell Heat Bud Mini): ------ Decreased the Temperature target value to 78°F ------ Increased the Minimum/Maximum value to 0/8 ------ Decreased the Temperature Buffer value to 2°F --- Wow the Thermoforge T3 definitely pumps out the heat! --- Will continue to adjust as needed. Day 00 - Saturday - 02/24/24 - Total Days: 000 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 00.0°F [00.0°C] - Humidity: 00.0% - VPD: 00.0 kPa - Soil %: [00, 00, 00, 00] ----------------------------------- --- [No log entries for today] Day 00 - Sunday - 02/25/24 - Total Days: 000 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 00.0°F [00.0°C] - Humidity: 00.0% - VPD: 00.0 kPa - Soil %: [00, 00, 00, 00] ----------------------------------- - [08:44]: Opps! --- Humidifier tank is empty! --- Refilled the humidifier with distilled water (~3gal). --- Ah yea! Almost seed germination day! Day 01 - Monday - 02/26/24 - Total Days: 000 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 78.7°F [25.9°C] - Humidity: 73.7% - VPD: 0.87 kPa - Soil %: [34, 37, 34, 35] ----------------------------------- --- [No log entries for today] Day 02 - Tuesday - 02/27/24 - Total Days: 001 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 79.0°F [26.1°C] - Humidity: 69.8% - VPD: 1.01 kPa - Soil %: [32, 35, 35, 34] ----------------------------------- - [09:59]: Okay! --- Time to finally start this new grow! --- Going to attempt to grow some ‘Garlic Budder’ by ‘Humboldt Seed Company!’ --- This is a cross of ‘GMO (Garlic, Mushrooms, Onions)’ and ‘Fortune Cookies’ --- Since this is also an in-bred line (IBL), the cultivar was further stabilized with backcrossing (with itself, ‘Garlic Budder’). --- As far as growth, this cultivar is 70% indica dominant. --- Ordered a 10-pack of seeds but my pack somehow has an extra one. --- So have 11 seeds in total. --- Gonna try to germinate two. --- As far as my personal seed germination count, this will be attempt #62 and #63 --- Going with the 'Cotton Pad' method again. --- In another room (my bathroom), - [10:04]: Placed 6 fresh cotton pads on top of some clean plastic wrap. --- Using a spray bottle, Misted the top of each pad with 2 sprays of straight distilled water. --- Selected two random seeds of ‘Garlic Budder’ (‘Humboldt Seed Company’). Basically the first two that fell out of the container. - [10:09]: Placed each seed onto a freshly wet pad. --- Carefully folded over and wiped each bean with their pad. --- This was mainly to remove any particles and dust. - [10:13]: Gently placed each seed onto a fresh cotton pad. Discarded the used pads. --- Then covered the top of each seed with the remaining wet cotton pads. --- Misted the top of each stack of pads with 4 more sprays of distilled water. - [10:16]: Placed a cotton pad stack into a fresh Ziploc bag (1quart bag). --- Misted the inside of the bag with 2 last sprays of distilled water. --- Gently folded the bag in half. --- Did not fully seal the bag (left a corner open). - [10:18]: Placed the bag onto the heating mat. --- Repeated the process for the other seed. --- Covered the bags with a black opaque plastic container. --- Then covered the container with a towel and a foam cover (the foam piece is actually from the Thermoforge box). --- Covered the foam with another towel. - [10:27]: The heating mat's thermostat is set to a warm 85°F --- The current temp is at 82.7°F --- Will check back in two days for tap roots! - [11:59]: As far as my current tent settings (within the AC Infinity app), --- For the ‘Vegetative [18/6]’ Automation Schedule, --- For the Grow Light (Mars Hydro FC-6500): ------ The Mode is set to ‘On Mode’ ------ The START/END times are set to 04:00PM/10:00AM ------ The Sunrise and Sunset Duration value is set to 20Min ------ The MAX value is set to 1 --- For the Exhaust Fan (AC Infinity T6): ------ The Mode to ‘Continuous Auto’ ------ The Temperature HIGH trigger’s value is set to 85°F ------ The Humidity HIGH trigger’s value is set to 77% ------ The Minimum/Maximum value is set to 3/8 ------ The Temperature Buffer value is set to 3°F ------ The Humidity Buffer value is set to 3% --- For the Humidifier (AC Infinity T7): ------ The Mode is set to ‘Continuous Target’ ------ The VPD trigger value is set to 1.0kPa ------ The Minimum/Maximum value is set to 0/8 ------ The VPD buffer value is set to 0.2kPa --- For the Heater (Honeywell Heat Bud Mini): ------ The Mode is set to ‘Continuous Target’ ------ The Temperature target value is set to 78°F ------ The Minimum/Maximum value is set to 0/8 ------ The Temperature Buffer value is set to 2°F --- Of course will adjust these settings as needed. --- Just wanted to mention a bug in the app, --- For some reason, setting the grow light’s max to 0 does not seem to work. Every day, after 4pm, the light would still turn on. Been having to go into the app to set the light level from 0 to 1, then back down to 0 for the light to turn off. When you’re trying to save money on electricity, this is slightly annoying. --- Anyways, --- Checked the humidifier, --- Tank was empty! Opps again (Damnit Ensign). --- Refilled the unit with distilled water (~3gal). --- Now that the grow is fully underway, going to do doily humidifier checkups. - [12:15]: Checked on the tent, --- Temporarily turned the light on (level 1). --- Woah! --- Mites are going wild! - [12:23]: Filled a measuring cup with a cup of distilled water. ------ Added 6mL of Dr. Zymes’ Eliminator --- Mixed the solution before pouring it straight into a spray bottle. --- Blanketed the floor with the solution and let it set for a minute before wiping everything up with paper towels. --- Sprayed a layer of the solution onto the floor. Will let this air dry out. --- Plan to do another top dressing along with a cover crop sow later. - [16:01]: Lights on! --- This is also cover crop germination day! --- Going to do an additional top dressing with more amendments. --- Removed both EarthBox covers. --- Also temporarily removed the Ecowitt soil sensors. --- Using my fingers, I gently re-loosened the top soil. --- Mixed the soil around and re-evened the surface. - [16:19]: Time for another re-amend! --- For each EarthBox, ------ Sprinkled 2cups of BuildASoil Worm Castings ------ Sprinkled 2cups of Gnarly Barley (Pre-Milled) ------ Sprinkled 1/2cup of Alfalfa Meal ------ Sprinkled 1/2cup of Kelp Meal ------ Sprinkled 1/2cup of Kashi Blend --- Tried to stay in the middle area. --- Using my fingers, I gently tilled the amendments into the top soil. - [17:10]: Placed the Ecowitt soil moisture sensors back in. --- Also replaced the batteries for two of the sensors. - [17:11]: Time to add the cover crop! ------ Sprinkled 1tbsp of White Clover Cover Crop --- Tried to go around the soil sensors and kept away from the main planting area. ------ Sprinkled 1tsp of 12 Seed Clover Crop --- Focused on the middle area between the soil sensors. --- Using my fingers, I gently tilled the seeds into the top soil. - [17:21]: Filled a measuring cup with 2 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/32tsp of Mycrobe Complete ------ Added 1/32tsp of Recharge --- Mixed the solution before pouring it straight into a pump sprayer. --- Misted the top soil of both EarthBoxes (about 1/2 cup each). - [17:34]: Filled the pump sprayer with a cup of fresh distilled water. --- Misted the top soil of both EarthBoxes (about 1/2 cup each). --- Placed the covers back onto each EarthBox (black-side facing outwards). --- Will check back in a few days for sprouts. --- As usual, on the big planting day, plan to dig a hole and plant the germinated seeds into fresh paper bags filled with BuildASoil Light (pre-mixed with some Grow Dots). --- Let the grow begin! --- Please germinate and grow strong my little ones! Day 03 - Wednesday - 02/28/24 - Total Days: 002 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 78.9°F [26.1°C] - Humidity: 73.2% - VPD: 0.89 kPa - Soil %: [34, 35, 45, 37] ----------------------------------- - [08:07]: Morning check! --- Peeled back the covers for both EarthBoxes. --- Sprayed the top soil with about 1/2cup of distilled water each. Mainly just wanted to further moisten the surface. --- Placed the covers back on back on. --- Glad that the mite issue is gone. To prevent further outbreaks, going to spray again using a different IPM solution. - [08:23]: Filled a measuring cup with a cup of distilled water. ------ Added 4mL of Tweetmint Enzyme Plant Wash --- Mixed the solution before pouring it straight into a spray bottle. --- Smells like peppermint! --- Misted the floor of the tent with the solution (~1/2cup). Also sprayed the top and sides of both EarthBoxes. --- Going to let the solution air dry out. --- Plan to mist again before lights off. - [09:56]: Okay! --- Just before lights out, --- Misted the floor with the rest of the solution (~1/2cup). - [10:06]: Checked the humidifier. --- Tank was about half full. --- Refilled the humidifier with distilled water (~2gal). --- Having the humidifier outside the tent makes everything extremely convenient. Refills are less of a hassle and can be done during any time of the day. - [16:33]: Quick checkup! --- Tent conditions look great! --- Also the floor looks nice and clean. - [16:35]: Checked the humidifier. --- Tank is still full. Day 04 - Thursday - 02/29/24 - Total Days: 003 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 81.0°F [27.2°C] - Humidity: 59.6% - VPD: 1.45 kPa - Soil %: [32, 32, 39, 34] ----------------------------------- - [09:52]: Quick checkup! --- Looks good! --- Peeled back the covers for both EarthBoxes. --- Sprayed the top soil with about 1/2cup of distilled water each. --- Placed the covers back on back on. --- Plan to check on the seeds later on this evening. --- Getting hyped! - [16:30]: Okay! Time to check on the beans! --- It's been well over two days since the seeds were placed on the cotton pads (actually just over 54hrs). --- Carefully removed both pads from their bags. --- Then flipped over the top pad. --- Woah! We have tap roots! --- Also, one bean has completely grown completely out of her shell! --- Both seeds look like they should have been planted yesterday (damnit Ensign). Tap roots are way longer than I’d like to see. --- Placed the pads back on the seeds and returned them to their bags before stacking them on the heating mat. --- The heating mat temp was at 81.2°F --- Well, time to plant the sprouted seeds! --- Pretty nervous about this one. --- [*smokes a bowl] - [16:37]: Checked on the tent. --- Woah! The mites seem to be back. --- Cleaned the floor with a bit of water and paper towels. --- Tomorrow morning, just before lights out, will probably do another tent floor spraying. - [16:43]: Removed the covers for both EarthBoxes. --- Also removed the soil moisture sensors from both EarthBoxes and set them in a cup for later. - [17:10]: Dug a hole into each EarthBox. --- Tried to spread the excess soil onto the top soil as evenly as possible. --- Mainly tried to cover the top amendments. --- Going to be planting straight into paper bags filled with BuildASoil Light. - [15:13]: Using scissors, I trimmed 2 small paper bags down to ~3.5" tall. --- Mixing in some Grow Dots and worm casting to help with early seedling nutrition. - [17:24]: Filled a plastic bin with 4 dry solo cups of BuildASoil Light (soil was a bit dusty). ------ Added 1 cup of BuildASoil Worm Castings ------ Added 3tsp of Grow Dots (basically the rest of what I had - need more now) --- Mixed the soil. Very dusty. --- Using a spray bottle, misted the top with about 1/2cup of distilled water. --- Mixed the soil and set it aside (soil is still pretty dry, but not dusty anymore). - [17:24]: Took the paper bags and filled them with 2 solo cups of the pre-mixed soil. --- Set the extra soil aside for later. --- Time to inoculate the hole with some Great White and worm castings! - [17:58]: Sprinkled 1 cup of worm castings into each hole. ------ Sprinkled in 1/4tsp of Great White into each hole. --- Gave each hole a misting of distilled water. --- Placed a grow bag into each hole and gave the top a firm press. Made sure to fill in the sides with extra top soil. --- Time to make the wetting solution! - [18:14]: Filled a measuring cup with 2 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/32tsp of Horticultural Aloe ------ Added 1/16tsp of Mycrobe Complete --- Mixed the solution and poured 1/2 cup into straight into a spray bottle. - [18:24]: Misted the top soil of each grow bag with the wetting solution (about 1/2 cup each). --- Not making any holes. Made a shallow and wide indentation into the center area of each grow bag. - [16:30]: Sprinkled 1/16tsp of Beauveria Bassiana Plus Powder into the center of each indentation. --- Time to plant the sprouted seeds! - [18:34]: Using a clean dab tool, I scooped the first seed off of the pad and placed her on top of the inoculated area with the tap root sideways. --- The first one looked like a bean sprout. Also her tap root was starting to bury into the cotton pad (had to break the pad apart to free the root). Very nervous about this one. Not sure if she’s going to make it.. --- Sprinkled and covered the root with a bit of the remaining soil mix from earlier. - [18:36]: Repeated the process for the second seed. --- The second one looked a lot better and was not stuck to her pad. She still had her seed on, but still looks overly germinated. --- Nervous but hopeful on this one. --- Gently patted the surface down. --- Refilled the spray bottle with the 1/2cup of the wetting solution. --- Misted the top of each grow bag with the solution (~25-35 sprays each). --- Time to add a mulch layer! - [18:44]: Added a layer of dried rice hulls. --- Using some BAS Rice Hulls, I evenly covered the top soil of each grow bag (~4tbsp each). --- Then misted the rice hulls of both bags with the rest of the wetting solution in the bottle (~45-55 sprays each). - [18:49]: With the exception of one, seems that none of the cover crop sprouted (guess it was a bad idea to sow seeds while top dressing). Going to sprinkle more cover crop seeds. --- For each EarthBox, ------ Sprinkled 1tbsp of White Clover Cover Crop --- Went around each grow bag evenly. ------ Sprinkled 1tsp of 12 Seed Clover Crop --- Placed a line of seeds onto the middle area (in between the area where the soil sensors will go). - [19:02]: Placed each soil sensor back into each EarthBoxes. --- For the back sensors, brushed the cover crop seeds aside before inserting each probe. --- Also made sure that the app was linked to the correct sensor IDs. - [19:06]: Using the remaining soil from earlier, --- Covered the top soil of both EarthBoxes (~1/2 cup each). --- Went around each grow bag and smoothed the surface. --- Tried to cover as much of the cover crop as I could. - [19:15]: Added 1 cup of distilled water to the remaining wetting solution. Now the solution is at 2 cups. --- Poured the solution straight into a pump a sprayer. - [19:19]: Misted the solution onto the top soil of both EarthBoxes (~1cup each). --- Sprayed around each grow bag. - [19:26]: Placed the covers back on for both EarthBoxes. --- Using a pair of scissors, I gently cut an x-shaped hole the same diameter as each grow bag. and tucked the flaps underneath. - [19:41]: Vacuumed the tent's floor. --- Also wiped the floor with paper towels and distilled water. --- Plan to do another IPM spraying later. --- Time for the domes! - [19:43]: Misted each humidity dome with a bit of distilled water before covering each grow bag. --- Vents are fully closed. --- [*smokes a bowl] --- Germinated seeds have been planted! --- Would normally be hoping to see sprouts in a few days, but this time, I’m not sure. --- Both seeds germinated way faster than anticipated and should have been planted yesterday morning. --- Will check back later for soil moisture. - [22:12]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data: --- 39% - [CH01 EB1 - Garlic Budder #1] --- 34% - [CH02 EB1 - Secondary] --- 33% - [CH03 EB2 - Garlic Budder #2] --- 37% - [CH04 EB2 - Secondary] - [22:12]: Checked the humidifier. --- Water level was still pretty full. No need to refill yet. --- Eventually will remove the plastic mulch cover a day or so after cover crop seeds start popping. --- Afterwards, --- Plan to mist the top soil with about a cup of distilled water each day (1/2 cup each). --- As usual, no bottom watering until the plants get bigger. --- [*smokes a bowl] --- Whelp, --- I’m glad the seeds are healthy, but damn, really did not expect them to pop open that quickly. --- If none of the seeds survive (damnit Ensign), will repeat the exact same process next week (attempt #64 and #65) with the first tap root check being after 24hrs instead of after 54. Day 05 - Friday - 03/01/24 - Total Days: 004 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 80.4°F [26.9°C] - Humidity: 63.3% - VPD: 1.29 kPa - Soil %: [40, 34, 35, 37] ----------------------------------- - [09:41]: Morning tent check! --- Woah! Did not expect to see a sprout! --- Garlic Budder #1 has already sprouted into a seedling! --- Garlic Budder #2 has just barely started to break the surface. --- Wow! --- Thought these girls were done for, but wow they seem to be growing just fine. --- Going to give an IPM spraying of Tweetmint. - [09:45]: Filled a measuring cup with 1 cup of distilled water. ------ Added 4mL of Tweetmint Enzyme Plant Wash --- Mixed the solution before pouring it straight into a spray bottle. --- While leaving the domes on, I completely blanketed the floor, mulch cover, and the sided of each EarthBox with the solution. - [10:52]: Checked the humidifier. --- Tank is about half full. --- Refilled the humidifier with distilled water (~3gal). - [23:15]: Late night check. --- Wow! We have two! --- Both sprouts have now fully sprouted! --- Did not expect them to grow that quickly! --- Misted the top of each grow bag with 10 sprays of distilled water. - [23:26]: Took general PPFD readings. --- Both seedlings were around 147 μmol/m²/s which gives a DLI of 9.53 mol/m²/d --- The FC-6500 was utilizing around 149.6W (at intensity 1 out of 10). - [23:32]: Within the AC Infinity App, --- Adjusted the 'Vegetative [18/6]' Schedule for the grow light. ------ Increased the MAX from 1 to 2 --- The FC-6500 is now utilizing around 204.4W (at intensity 2 out of 10). - [23:37]: Took new PPFD readings. --- Both seedlings were around 202 μmol/m²/s which gives a DLI of 13.09 mol/m²/d --- Covered both seedlings with their humidity domes (vents fully open). - [23:42]: Checked the humidifier. --- Tank is still pretty full. No need to refill. Day 06 - Saturday - 03/02/24 - Total Days: 005 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 79.0°F [26.1°C] - Humidity: 73.6% - VPD: 0.88 kPa - Soil %: [40, 34, 35, 36] ----------------------------------- --- [No log entries for today] Day 07 - Sunday - 03/03/24 - Total Days: 006 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages - Temps: 79.0°F [26.1°C] - Humidity: 71.6% - VPD: 0.95 kPa - Soil %: [39, 33, 34, 36] ----------------------------------- - [06:01]: Could not tend to the garden yesterday, --- Woah! Humidifier's tank is empty! --- Refilled the humidifier with distilled water (~3.5gal). - [06:09]: Checked on the seedlings. --- Wow! Nice! --- Both are looking surprisingly healthy! --- Placed the domes back on (vents fully open). - [08:06]: Decided to remove the mulch covers. --- Wow! Lots of sprouts! --- Discarded the covers. --- Also vacuumed the tent’s floor. --- If any of these survive (I doubt it), they will turn into a living mulch. --- If not, then it’s freshly sprouted seeds for nutrients. - [08:18]: Using a spray bottle, misted the top soil for both EarthBoxes (~1/2cup each). --- Until the cover crop is fully established, plan to water the top soil daily. - [19:04]: Evening checkup! --- Looking good! --- Pretty sure most of the cover crop seeds won’t germinate, but going to be watering the top soil daily to keep moisture levels higher. - [19:07]: Filled a pump sprayer with 1 cup of distilled water. --- While leaving the domes on, misted the top soil of both EarthBoxes (about 1/2 cup each). --- Wow! Both seedlings look great! --- A bit on the stretchy side, but that’s okay. --- Going to be dialing in the light levels over the next week or so (light is still currently set to level 1 out of 10). - [19:11]: Using a spray bottle, misted each grow bag with about 10 sprays of distilled water. --- Both seedlings are still looking great! --- Also sprayed each humidity dome. - [19:15]: Checked the humidifier, --- Tank is still pretty full. No need to refill. --- Germination week done! --- Wow! Aside from the soil mite over population, everything has gone surprisingly well. [END OF WEEK 00]

@gottagrowsometime, Thanks growmie! Yea, sometimes I can get a bit too detailed, but this is all just for fun! Been using Ac Infinity's Thermoforge T3 heater for just over 2 weeks and have to say that it's the best! Highly recommend! The unit easily heats a 4x4ft grow tent along with my 10x10ft lung room. Keep in mind that it never snows where I live, but it can get pretty cold in the winter (Southern California - US). What's most impressive is that in combination with the Cloudforge T7, my overall weekly VPD averages have been a lot more stable! Also the day to night temp swings have been greatly reduced (less than 10 degrees/percent difference on the weekly temps/RH averages).
