Week 2 kicking off
- tent temps and RH staying stable (67-75 degrees F, 72% RH)
- Watering each day with light nutrient solution, keeping soil moist
- Will mix in regular water every third day and keep checking runoff PPM and pH
- Plant 1 looks best, developing OK
-Plant 1 Details
- Second set of leaves coming in
- Very slight discoloration on leaves, seems to be improving since starting feeding
- Plant 2 developing, but smaller than Plant 1
-Plant2 Details
- Second set of leaves looks like one might be stunted
- Looks like some damage from the helmet head
- Color ok
- No excessive stretching, keeping plants rotating every day or two to keep growth straight
5/9/24
- Things progressing nicely
- Roots visible in the drain holes of both cups
- Third set of leaves coming in on both plants
- Plant 1: Looking good, some crinkling around the edges of first set of leaves, but ok otherwise
- Plant 2: one of the second set of leaves didn't come in due to some damage, but third set coming in. Plant generally smaller than Plant 1, but looks healthy
5/11/24
- Third set of leaves and all branch nodes are coming in
- Tent conditions stable
- Light 350 PPFD at leaves
Plant 1:
- Small bit of deceleration on one of the first true leaves, all others looking OK
- runoff measurements: 5.5 pH, 990 PPM
Plant 2:
- New growth looking good, but mangled second set of leaves seem to be slowing growth a bit
- Generally smaller than Plant 1
- Runoff measurements: 5.7 pH, 1020 PPM
5/16/24
- Ending the week by repotting Plant 1 into final 5 gal. fabric pot
- Watering with just pH water and CalMag
- Plant looking great, nice green leaves, no sign of burn or discoloration
- Plant up to 5.5" in height
- Nodes coming in nicely
- Light at 450 PPFD at top of leaves
@Realtor_Red, Thanks! Getting close to the end, and I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out. Learning some things for the next go, but this one is better than the last, so onward and upward! 😃
5/3/24
- First true leaves are out
- Humidity domes removed
- Light feeding started with General Hydroponics Flora Series
- Plant 1 looking OK
- Plant 2 bouncing back, still smaller than #1, but I'm more optimistic about it given how it looked when it emerged
- Maintaining daytime humidity in the mid 70's (F) and mid 60's (F)
- Humidity at 76% in tent
@Dabking, Thanks so much! This was a fun grow and I learned a lot along the way, I think there are some nice outcomes here. Please do stay tuned- the way Grow Diaries works, it looks like I can't add multiple weeks to document the drying and curing, but I'll keep updating this page as all of that goes along so people can see what the ultimate outcome and results are. Really looking forward to seeing how this one turns out!
@Legendaryseedthumb, Thanks very much! I think it turned out pretty well (we'll see after the dry and cure), but I also learned a lot along the way for the next one. Always trying to get better and get more knowledge. Thanks for checking out my diary!
