Blue Cheese F1 automatic Welcome to my Zamnesia Blue Cheese diary. I will be growing one plant in Happy Frog soil and the other in Coco Coir Bush Doctor both with Bliss Myco added. This is a test of a coir-based soil for future grows. I chose Blue Cheese F1 Auto since F1s should be stable and look the same in structure. I started in these in a cotton pad January 1. Happy New Year 🎉 friends, growers and lovers of green. Jan 3rd I moved Pink Rozay (1), Blue Cheese (2) which were the ones with tails out and Runtz (1) and Love Potion (1) all to soil. Since I am growing thru Valentines day, I decided to do a dreamy theme of love of wine, cheese and love potion. I started seeds 1/1/25, just after the new moon on 12/30. Interestingly it was a rare black moon, the second new moon of the month. The 5 days following a new moon are the optimal planting times for above ground crops. I'm trying to follow Farmer’s Almanac on gardening by moon phases. I’ll try to remember to note lunar actions i future comments if they apply. Your likes and comments are appreciated. Thanks for stopping by. Growers love 💚🌿 💫Natrona💫 Blue Cheese F1 Automatic offers massive flavour courtesy of a complex yet complementary terpene profile. This F1 strain is derived from a pairing of Blueberry and Cheese, and demonstrates exceptional vigour and uniformity. The seeds of this strain grow into strikingly similar plants with comparable yields, making for a more reliable cultivation project. Blue Cheese F1 Automatic is suitable for a wide range of environments and can thrive with relative ease without the need for round-the-clock maintenance. All it takes is 10 weeks from germination before Blue Cheese F1 Automatic is ready to harvest. Plants grown indoors have the potential to produce around 500g/m², whereas outdoor projects will return between 100–200g/plant. However, both stay pretty close to the ground, typically maxing out at 60–90cm in height. Bearing a THC content of 21%, Blue Cheese F1 Automatic leans on her heritage to offer giggly and relaxed effects that are perfect for solo sessions as well as social gatherings. With a ton of tasty terpenes to her name, Blue Cheese F1 Automatic's buds are bursting with skunky cheese mixed with a bit of blueberry, mint, and diesel for good measure.

Week 3 1/19-25 This was a big week for Blue Cheese gals and Pink Rozay. They got topped, pinned and defoliated on 1/20 with pics 1/20 21, 23 and 25. They handled the topping very well and bounced back with vigor. When I topped the cheeses they were 5 inches tall, I cut off 1 inch and during recovery they grew 2 inches. They are now 6” and very bushy. next week defoliation and more pinning. 1 gal fed 1 liter each Fed 1/20 & 1/23 Plant Juice 1 tbsp/gal 60ml 2tbsp Cal Mag 5ml/gal 5 ml Royal Rush 4ml/gal 4ml Recharge 5ml/gal 5 ml Ppm 335 Ph 6.9 Temp 65 Your likes and comments are appreciated. Blue Cheese F1 automatic Week 4 1/26- 2/2 The Cheese gals are 7 inches tall. I raised the lights to 30 inches above the plant. Pinned more branches and defoliated. You can see in the pic how resilient these gals are, they bounced back after topping and pinning and defoliating. I add 2 gallons of water to the T700 humidifier daily to keep the VPD in line. Blue Cheese F1 automatic Week 5 2/2-2-8 The Cheese gals are in full flower and are stretching like crazy. At the beginning of the week, they were 7 inches tall, Wed 10 and today 2/7 they are 14 & 15 inches tall. They have doubled in height. I’ve moved the pins out to the edge of the pot. For future training, I must add some wires thru the pot holes to keep the branches lower as the outer rim is taller than the center. I reduced nutrients in the feed solution since Runtz and Pink Rozay are showing some purples/blues in the leaves. These gals are vigorous and don’t seem to mind the full strength feedings. Hopefully they won’t start showing deficiencies. I added Green Sensation this week then read the instructions said add in 4th week flower. Blue Cheese is supposed to be a 10 week flower from seed to harvest. If I wait till the 4th week, it will only be used for 2 maybe 3 weeks. Would that actually benefit the plant. So I think I will add some each time but a 25% strength. Calls for 4ml/g I will use 1ml. They are autos and I should be lowering the nutes anyway. Pinned more branches. I add 2 gallons of water to the T700 humidifier daily to keep the VPD in line. 2/5 4 gal fed 2 liter each nutrients added at ½ of recommended amount. Making 4 gallons since I have 2 pots of carrots and Dill in the back. Blue Cheese F1 automatic Week 6 2/9-15 The Cheese gals are in full flower, the buds are puffing out and stacking. I even see some lower buds connecting to the upper buds and some pistils are turning brown. There is some smell when I open the tent. The F1 genetics are reflected in that these 2 plants are almost identical. I don’t see much difference in their growth so far using the different mediums. Soil and soil/coco blend. Maybe harvest will show a difference in yield from each one. Time will tell. On 2/13 I did major defoliation on my Cheese gals. I removed all large fan leaves and any leaves shading bud sites. Initially, I thought this would be my last defoliation, however I have heard that 1) they continue to grow new leaves until day 20 of flower and 2) there must be enough foliage on the plant to photosynthesize energy. Well, I hope I left enough leaves for energy to keep bulking up the buds. Stretching has slowed down. Both girls grew only an inch and now 17 inches. This is only the end of flower week 2. Controller is set to flower. I add 2 gallons of water to the T700 humidifier daily to keep the VPD in line. 2/9 & 11 4 gal fed 2 liter each nutrients added at ½ of recommended amount. Blue Cheese F1 automatic Week 7 2/16-22 Flower week 3 The Cheese gals are in full bloom, the buds are puffing out and stacking. I even see some lower buds connecting to the upper buds and many pistils are turning brown. Trichomes are minimal and using my phone, they appear milky. There is some smell when I open the tent. The F1 genetics are reflected in that these 2 plants are identical in plant structure. However, blue cheese 2 in soil is maturing more quickly than BC1 that is in coco soil blend. Both girls had leaf tips turning up and I thought tip curl was light burn so I took the cheese gals off the crates. I also moved the carrots to the other tent with the veggie seedlings because Love Potion is getting so big, Another observation BC 1 in coco is showing over feeding by new tips are yellow and most old ones are brown and curling up. BC2 does not show any nutrient issues even though they are given the exact same food. I surely don’t have time for special diets In addition, Love Potion is getting so big, I took the carrots out and put them in the other tent with the veggie seedlings. So how’s the weather you ask? So glad to share pics our Record setting major snowstorm. Coastal Virginia got the brunt of this storm. Virginia Beach had 13 inches and my area of Chesapeake had 12” We had 24 hours of steady snow. We took our kitties out when it first started to see how they would react. They loved it. So the following morning we took them out again. 2/17 &19 &21 5 gal fed 2 liter each nutrients added at ½ of recommended amount Bloom Juice 60 ml Royal Rush 16 ml Power bud 16ml Green sensation16 ml Cal Mag15ml Ppm 683 Ph 6.5 Temp 65 Your likes and comments are appreciated. Blue cheese F1-1 is in coco coir blend showing nutrient issues. Blue cheese F1 -2 is in happy frog soil and no nutrients issues. What is coco fiber doing to the plant to cause this ? What adjustments do I need to do to resolve this problem?

I would say Hashy is in the right neighborhood. You can't treat plants that are in a media that devoid of nutrients the same way you treat plants growing in a charged soil. In the Happy Frog you're just supplemental feeding to fill in the gaps of what the soil isn't providing. In the coco blend you're gonna be more responsible for providing everything. Also regarding nutrients, what you feed in soil may not necessarily work in a soiless context. Many soil based nutrients are more complex molecules that require further breakdown before the plant can use them. This happens in the microbiom within the soil. Nutrients made for use in hydro are typically already in their simplest forms and can be absorbed immediately. Personally I don't really get why people buy these overpriced soils and blends. If you're supplying the nutrients yourself you can grow in practically anything as long as it's not contaminating anything with unintended residual stuff. I've used just plain ass topsoil out of the yard. I've used aquarium gravel ....heck I've used gravel from the driveway lol.

K also relies significantly on active transport, like P. forgot to include that tidbit... same reasons why amplifying it doesn't correlat to any benefits beyond simply maintaining a healhy level in substrate ready for it to grab on demand.

New to soilless? hopefulyl this isn't condescending, but this is required for anything below to work fertigate with 10% runoff, minimum... when you repeat i'm going to assume you know what you are doing. The runoff is essential to avoid buildup in the substrate. Not doing so basically negates the super power of soilless growing -- doesn't matter if it is coco or sphagnum peat moss. Looks more like nutrition related than a bad batch of coco coir. The plants were healthy earlier, and if it wasn't buffered, they would have suffered greatly and in a very noticeable way - whether too much Na+ or K+ released, flip a coin. This coco was buffered properly, so no worries there. Even if it was off a bit, it'd be at equilibrium, now... it should not be leaching or adding anything at this stage even if not perfectly buffered to start. Too much P? Dark and glossy, so too much N. Even the one without the tip burn is headed that way. Good studies have shown that going over 50-60ppm P doesn't really do much for the yield. P is one of the elements that the plant gets about 2/3rds of need (assuming all other factors are kosher) from active transport. So, the plant has some sort of feedback system to control a significant portion of how much P enters the plant. Having enough present for easy access and not inhibiting other stuff is all you need of P to maximize results, all other factors remaining the same. Similar studies show going over 180ppm of K isn't useful, either. In my experience when i've tried to push closer to 200ppm, I always end up with a toxicity at some point down the line, even if it takes weeks, so it seems to be a fairly repeatable outcome. I'd drop that N to about 50ppm.. that'd be about half dose for mid to late flower. Since it's loaded up, might be able to go even lower, if the lushness doesn't recede fast enough for your taste. Once it's a healther shade, go to 90-100ppm. Bet under normal conditions ~80 gives a slow fade if you are into that sort of thing. Mg should be around 75ppm, give or take relative to local tap water contents. This can contribute to lushness (too dark of a shade). Worth checking. Your mileage can vary on these values due to interrelationship of nutes. If we don't have a fairly similar ratio and pH (~6.0), your numbers are likely to deviate further from these numbers. there are free apps that can take gauranteed analysis information from several products and tabulate it all for you. Tracking this stuff in a soilless/hydro grow can make diagnosis extremely easy once you learn upper/lower thresholds through observing the plant and adjusting over time. I'd definitely give a water only irrigation or two, and in future go to a mid flower formula of 100 n 50-60 p 170-180 K Ca 100+ Mg 75ish S 100+ Again, local tap water will make some small variations. This is a low EC formula that still pushes boundaries of K. Ca can go quite a bit higher but this would definitely avoid deficiencies, if fed 100+ entire grow up to that point. These are ballpark values. If anything is WAY off, consider adjusting, but small deviations are irrelevant... still have to observe and react to plant to dictate further adjustments. This particular grow, i'd look at current ppm levels of these elements and adjust further down while maintining other elements' ppm, if it's been overfed with any select few nutritional elements. The free apps can calculate dose - well, the good ones can. "hydrobuddy" i believe is one. Don't need to overfeed to get proper yields given ambient co2. If you get 50-60g/sq ft from average yielding plants, you can feel pretty good about not leaving any yield on the table due to any input you control. Heavy yielders can push higher, but prolly need to work exclusively with clones to do that consistently.
