Update : After a very patchy and disastrous start again , i am finally up and running with the girls back in their proper home. They have took a bit of a hit from being in the Krakty style emergency pods bit at least survived. I have been able to bend and train them a little to get them bushier for their scrog plan. There are a couple that are lagging behind but under the circumstances i am not surprised. Root growth at best is about 7 inches long on 3 so easily finds the water in the buckets but the others have smaller , less dense roots going on. I had to pull them all at the stage of starting to build roots so feel starting them at week 1 again is appropriate. So here are the girls at Day 1 of their vegging future.
@Silky_smooth, she is a lone survivor and i am considering using her for hash this harvest. do enjoy some old school smoking sometimes.lpl
Thanks for the comment silky
A lot to sort out before you go... but you sound like a person who knows how. I'm supposed to go away the same week that I reckon I should be cropping! If i dont go... i will be letting down the 2 closest people in my life. If i do go away.... I'm not sure then?
Good 🍀 and good growing
👊🏼🌞🌱
@Ganjagrandaddy,
Hello dude 😎
Yes ... a general chat type room rather than postings on diaries would be gr🎱.
Happy Friday to you.
Have a good weekend.
😎✌️🏼
@Puffer_Bill,pleasure mate. replied to you on another too. It is one negative here, not having a discussion forum or the like for general chat and info ect. only seems to be on diaries. only getting to update once a week also means we miss a lot of posts ect. Hard to spend time on here unless something is going on with an update somewhere. .lol
@JohnnyBlaz3, no mate . only up to about week 4 of flower is advisable though for monstercropped clones. Cloning has a lot to benefit . knowing the mother plant before starting them can give great insight into planning their grow. taking clones during veg will tend to produce and extension of the mother plant as a branch that we then grow vertical as a main bud but they are not as vigorous as a seeded plant without training and topping ect... can save a lot of stress with definate females and knowing its feeding pref. No harm in throwing a couple of them into root mate. You can also root quicker in the flowering tent and propagator , so.ething to do with plant needing to estsblish quicker to flower so gets roots out as a priority
@Ganjagrandaddy, interesting, If i decicde to prune any weaker nodes that are left i'll definately be trying a clone for fun. I figured once the buds started forming it was way too late
@JohnnyBlaz3, Clones from flowering can make very bushy plants. As long as a short time to allow for re-veg is built in too. These took 4 weeks from their cut to root(2 weeks) and start sending new growth out that i would class as veg growth. "Monstercropped " cuttings are another training technique that i know works well from experience. It can shorten node lengths and seems to trigger more lateral growth within the structure. all to do with auxins i think. science stuff @#$!. lol.
Even at this stage they are more squat and wide than their mother was from seed. It will help with keeping a lower canopy for scrog.
@Homegrown79, Hi mate. All is going slow at moment . girls are on slomode as sat in nutes krakty style , while i rebuild the room after the council visit. Have my room insulated out better now so tent goes up tomorrow to put them back in their real home. Can get on with it again proper then.lol. Thanks for riding along again. your more than welcome and your contribution in my other grows has been great. can seem lonely in these when ambling along. Hopefully a positive update in a day or two and the countdown can begin again. Have some nice beans for my next run i am desperate to get at too. killing me waiting but no room for them till this one ends. Will be around your diaries too , enjoy the banter and bud porn too much not to be.lpl
that bud trimming or "back building" really works! I mean, I'm sure it doesn't increase the yield but it can change the shape to something better
Great pics & info👍
@Silky_smooth, Now whos blushing.lol
been here a while pottering away. Love the support and seeing the success that people have here. New growers are brilliant to ride along with as they gain confidence and try new stuff. Seeing harvests blow up is priceless. We learn so much each grow it feels and sharing experiences can avoid disaster so well too. It is the little bits and bobs that grip me like ways to increase bud sites with simple methods like quadlining or Manifolding. Briliant stuff and as for the pro comment , you have a great portfolio of harvests and some amazing looking results. Just wish sharing in a forum fashion was possible here. Small boxes , attached to weekly comments is limited and a few of us tried a chat forum using message system here but it got way too complex keeping up and so many diff conversations going on too. lol.
Looking good brother!
Got some Hulkberry myself coming, looking forward to breeding her out for a special blend!
Looking forward to seeing your results!
Happy growin'
✌️😎💨
@MarcXL, star trek engine room. lol.
using hps we have to get creative with heat management. The silver insulation avoids me using a chiller as all the light is reflected away and the air layer between insulation layers prevents it getting the buckets. The heat from air pumps is often pumped from the growroom into the buckets bit this creates heat too as the pumps run hot and the room temp adding to it , usually gets pumped into the buckets which heats them up too much. By using my external air intake straight i to the pumps deadening box , it can push cold air through instead and help maintain below 18°c in the res. Works a treat. have to be imaginative in this game heehee. Welcome to the grow mate
She is looking very healty at this point i’m happy that you desided to fight tru her little unfortunate problem but try spraying her with a little soapy solution(brown soap diluded) it does not get rid of all but most of the mites😉
