I can't fairly judge this plant as I caused it stress which in turn made it grow bananas. Harvesting early lead to a really small yield, but after a few weeks of curing, it turns out it is more potent than I though it would be. The smoke is still a little harsh (only been curing for 2 weeks) but it is just as potent as the white widow I grew. I will try growing this one again.
Hate that I had to harvest early but it had to be done. The change in lighting systems seems to have stressed her out enough to cause bananas. She could have used at least another week to mature. Only about 50% of the pistles had turned orange and up close it looks like some of the tricomes are still clear. One thing I noticed about this particular plant was that it was very hairy. The buds now that they are mostly dry are fairly dense but small. Small harvest about 7 grams of nice buds that smell delicious.
At day 76 for flowering and still not ripe, is this normal for cheese and gorilla strains in soil? Or am I counting wrong? Do I start counting from the flip? Or from when you start seeing pistils?
Every grow is different and like all strains there are different pheno types so it's always best to use a jeweller loupe to verify and find out for sure.
Hi! Start count when flip to 12/12. It's normal phenotype differences.. Some might get ready bit earlier. Hope this helps out. Happy harvest! Hehe I'm sure it's gonna be looks good 👌
Hi @indoorontario! 10 week into flowering is a common thing, and many environmental factors could impact the duration of the late flowering stage. They are close from being ready, but you don't want to rush anything. As always with home growing, patience is the key 😎 You did a great job, keep us updated on the harvest and happy growing! 👊
