12/06 Day 64 - Start of week 10 - Bleu continues to stretch. The budding flower that is directly under the light is only 8 inches away. I'm starting to notice signs of stress which I'm assuming is early stage light burn. Because of the way I have my filter setup, I can't raise the light any higher. I have an idea about a potential re-configuration of the tent that I'll think through more tomorrow morning. Fortunately, the only burn that the other two plants are experiencing is frost burn! When i walked into the house tonight after being out for 13 hours, I could distinctly smell a danky musk, even through the massive carbon filter I'm running. I popped open the tent to take a look and had to quickly turn off the fan because the smell was so strong, and the fan was blowing it everywhere. Apparently, the terpene production has kicked into high gear on Blanche and Pinky. Very cool burst of trichome production as well. I might pick up a Loupe to capture some better images of the trichomes. 12/07 - Day 65 - Got the light 4 inches higher with the new configuration. A seasoned veteran at the hydro store suggested milk crates for the two shorter plants to keep them from stretching and I thought that makes a ton of sense, so i'll find 2 tomorrow. There were visible salt crystals on top of the soil today when I watered with Recharge & Molasses. The plants are all increasing their water consumption and are growing vigorously. No sign of nutrient burn even with the more concentrated feeding a few days ago. Will need to monitor whether the new configuration (with the carbon filter sucking from the bottom of the tent) dries the pots out faster than before. 12/09 Day 67 - Each plant was given ~2.5-3L of plain water PH=6.5. The pots definitely dried out faster after their last watering 48 hours earlier. Probably a combination of the plants drinking a bit more and the exhaust fan pulling air from the bottom of the tent. Will feed with the nutrient solution once they dry out again. 12/11 Day 69 - Thirsty girls. The pots were dry as a bone at 5:30 AM this morning. Each plant got 5 L of water with calmag, base nutes & MKP at 825 PPM and PH = 6.2.

I’m running a viparspectra 600W reflector series LED 30 inches above these seedlings with only the veg lights turned on. The seeds went in the water 14 days ago and my question is: when should I turn on the bloom lights as well?

If you want tight internodes and keep her short and squat. Use the veg switch only. But if you want more vigorous growth with a little stretch I recommend using both switches. And if you pick option one you can keep veg switch on till week 3 of flower then turn both switches on. This will keep those internodes tight set you up with some nice dense bud.

Nute Burn Plan. Lower light to 24 inches and turn on bloom switch. Flush soil with 8 litres of water (PH 6.5) per pot. Questions: will increasing the intensity of light increase plants ability to absorb nutrients, or simply stress them more? Is 8L water/ 10L pot enough to flush?

@MediciGrade Dont lower your lights as the extra heat will only add to the stress of a nutrient toxicity. Do your plain water flush until the runoff ppm is back to wherever it was before you overfed.

Bleu (largest of the 3 plants) is ~14 days behind the other 2. Is such a variance in size & rate of maturation common when growing from seed? Does LST/HST amplify the differences between phenotypes? She's so tall I'm worried about light stress. Should I reduce the light schedule?

Reduce the light and you will reduce your yield. LST and hst will amplify nothing , it will keep them shorter and will allow you to build a shape but will not reduce the way they are growing , a tall plant remains tall and a short plant remains short , you can manage the height and size but that's all. From seed you have different type of shape , smell and colours due to the multiples phenotypes available, you make your selection to keep a clone and maybe creating a clone only strain ( I am calling it a clone only phenotype , a strain is not a cutting )

Brown spots and yellowing pictured above. My best guess is a Cal/Mag deficiency. Was feeding Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus at 1 ml/l up until ~2 weeks ago (friend has been watering while I was out of town). Before I feed her, any advice on what the problem is and how to correct it?

I think this is down to the pH being slightly low, try to increase it to 6.5 and flush as budx says. It could be pests so check under the leaves very closely for any evidence... I hope its the first issue. 🌱😁

Flushing in fabric pots is not to easy, because tey keep everything very well inside. because of theis you will have to let them dry ( bottom area) before you get them back in the box. I put my plants for a nicht on a grid lot let them drip out

@Mrs_Larimar, Great point! I hadn't thought about that. I'll have to figure out a way to elevate them from their saucers and direct airflow underneath the pots.

10L of plain water in a 10L pot, is enough if the soil isn’t too dry. Just make sure there’s about 7L to 8L from the drain. Water should be clear and clean at the end of flushing.
