Week 9 - Gelato #33 All measurements are per 1L of water Day 57 (Flower Day 29) - Wow week 9, getting into the home stretch (hopefully not the case with the Purple Punch!). - Different feed today than normal. Starting to ramp up the PK13/14 and lowering the A & B nutrients. Overall its less EC. Also lowered the cannazyme and raised the boost. The Purple Punch is by far the thirstiest (as she should be being a bush hedge). PP is getting 4liters and the other girls are getting 2-2.5, they all have the same amount of runoff with these amounts. The feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 0.8mL PK1314 / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of PH 6.3 and EC 1.4 - The plan is to add PK three times this week in slightly increasing dosages until 1.0mL then stopping until next week. I'll reassess then as i dont want to get ahead of myself. I'm still amazed just how good the Gelato #33 smells.....like a grape jolly Rancher. I cant even detect a smell off the others she's so overpowering. Anytime i try to defoliate a leaf here or there from G33 my hands feel like they are glued together. Really excited to see them all filling out and gaining flower mass. Day 58 (Flower Day 30) - Tied town the Purple Punch again for some more LST to keep her away from the maxed out lights. Also trying to get some of her side cola's that werent getting light some exposure. Beyond that nothing to report. Ladies looking great. I snuck in a little PK today, tomorrow there will be none. Feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 0.2mL PK1314 / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.5 (I'll make sure this is lower tomorrow as its at the max i'd like it to be). CJH, G33, WW, all got 2L of water today and PP 4L all with the same runoff. Day 59 (Flower Day 31) - Update for this day is a day late. Had a busy day so wasnt able to make the update. I wrote down the feed though as that was pretty much it. Feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.3 Day 60 (Flower Day 32) - Dont have any pictures today as its been hectic. I'll be sure to update with quite a few pictures tomorrow. The ladies are looking good, I'm seeing a few pistils turning orange here and there on the Purple punch and Critical Jack Herer. The smell from the Gelato is just amazing and starting to ramp up for the CJH and PP as well. Today was a PK today in their feed so was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 0.9mL PK1314 / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.4 Day 61 (Flower Day 33) - Really happy to see all the flower development from the ladies. All of them are developing their own distinct smell. It started raining again (some summer this has turned out to be!) but i put in a dehumidifier (small one) that brought the humidity to around 52% currently in the tent which i'm happy with (trying to keep it under 60%). I defoliated all of them a little bit today, taking fan leaves that were blocking cola's and any leaves that were directly on top of other leaves so as to cut down on the humidity further as i'm pretty wary of the dreaded bud rot. Maybe its just observational biased but it really seems like all of them develop quite a bit flower wise after a PK treatment. That said the next few feedings will be quite light, and ramping up the PK ever so slightly from where it has been for week 10, where I'll be stopping the PK and depending on how the ladies are doing lowering the normal feed even further. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B/ 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.3 - Be sure to check out the beautiful frost developing on each of the ladies, i tried to get a decent picture of them all. Day 62 (Flower Day 34) - Did a pretty big defoliation today mostly of the Purple Punch. Increasing airflow in the tent, lowering temps and also keeping the humidity right around 50%. All the ladies are looking great. Today was a very light feed, almost to help flush them out, although starting next week we'll be hitting the PK once again. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.8mL A / 1.8mL B/ 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.3 and PH 6.3 - The ladies got 11L in total of feed, 7.5 going to CJH/G33/WW and the remaining 3.5 going to PP as she's the thirstiest and i wanted to make sure all had proper runoff as it was a sort of lower nutrient flush from what they've been getting normally. Day 63 (Flower Day 35) - Last day of Week 9. Not much to report, ladies and environment are doing great. Feed was low, tomorrow's feed with PK will be higher. The ladies got 11L of water total, 2.5L each and 3.5L for Purple Punch. The feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2mL A / 2mL B/ 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.1

Worried if the tips of the new growth are exhibiting any signs of a micro-nutrient deficiency, CaMg? I've been feeding her CaMg but not every feed, about once every 3 days.

You may have a light stress issue, I see the serrations on the leaves are starting to curl up a little bit. I've had this problem as well. Try either moving your light up or turning down the intensity, and see if you notice a difference in 3 days.

I second @smoke24 about light stress. Had the same with my HLG fixtures, these new led diodes are mega powerful with minimal heat, the good old rules to determine light heights you find on sites apply to HPS/MH mostly, but not high end LEDs. Try to stick with the manual that comes with the light, however I had to move my HLG a few inches further than listed on their site cuz it slowly burned my babies with too intense light (not heat).

@Lord_Gabe_Newell, Ya I think you're both right. I've already moved the light up. We'll see if thats enough. I have a lot more room to move it up as these girls are shorties

@smoke24 Thanks for your help. I think that is exactly what it is, light stress. I havent measured my plants in awhile and some of them grew closer than 60cm (50cm about). I've since raised the light. Thanks again for your astute observation and help!

Yes Yesss Brother 😊 Good to see a fresh update on the babies and they're all looking super fine my friend!! I know you was having a few issues but it looks like everything is in order and tidy man!πŸ‘ Have you been watering with runoff or do you just stick to a certain amount of water only? I noticed you're only feeding 1ltr in a bigger pot but I've been feeding my plant 3ltr per day in an 11ltr pot to get my PPM correct on runoff and my PH runoff has been perfect too! I don't know if it's the best way but it's been working so well I don't wonna change Shit!!!!! πŸ˜• On my first grow I didn't do this and on flushing my PPM was CRAZY high which made me do things different this time round!! It made me concerned that they were sitting in a high concentration without me knowing because I hadn't runoff properly!! Respects πŸ˜‰

@@Lit_1, You're a lucky man bud with humidity perfect then!!! πŸ‘. So good that it remains low where you are as we know what high humidity can do for the babies!! Speak soon brother πŸ˜‰

@Bushbaby808, I just took out the humidifier (Rowenta Aqua Perfect) a few days ago as it wasnt kicking on anymore since i set it for 45% and thats where it seems to be without it. Outside humidity in the room is about 38% on average, inside the tent it seems to range from 38-48% which i think is ok, although maybe on the low side for the plants health. I'm paranoid against budrot though so i think i'm ok with it being that low. I live near the mountains so the humidity isnt very high here and its been raining quite a bit lately so that always spikes it up. During the day and night i try to keep the window cracked open for fresh air/cO2 and equalize the temperature in the tent. I'm hoping these conditions will be good but as you said we'll see what happens and we're learning as we go 😎

@@Lit_1, Yes bruv, more than likely a bitta both to be honest!!! I'm definitely moving up a pot size next time as I've got roots peepin out all over pot so I'm sure she would've flourished with more room!!! Hahaaaa, the venture continues.......Let's see what happens man, we're learning as we go!!! How are you doing with regards to humidity? There's no way I'm gonna be able to clock a 30-40% for late harvest!!! What dehumidifier do you run and do you deal with humidity inside or outside the tent?

Your running your ph a little high for soiless in the veg stage. 5.8 is ideal for what the plants want at this stage. You only need to add a little calmag if your using coco coir. Ppm should be 4 to 500 until they start to vigorously grow

@GMSgrows, Thank you. I've been using Nitric acid as my PH down during Veg as it breaks down to nitrogen just for this reason (during flower i switch to phosphoric acid). It also has to be a micro nutrient 'immobile' issue as its in the new growth and not the old growth. Nitrogen is a mobile nutrient and i believe the leaf color is healthy besides the new growth tips, which indicates micro nutrients. I'm not sure if its just because they are so new and i'm trying to see a problem where there isnt one. I believe its good to let the PH fluctuate a little bit in the healthy range so that the plant can take up certain nutrients it needs at more optimum PH levels. I'm not really a believer in runoff levels as you can get a pretty large discrepancy depending on your runoff on which nutrients happen to wash out during that time and which do not. Thanks for the help though all the same, i do appreciate it!

@@Lit_1,your correct there. But 5.8 is where your babies take up more nitrogen, that keeps your leaves green. Can't say for sure its calmag issue, if it is there is a reason why. Check your runoff make sure the ec is not way higher than what's going in. Luck my friend

@GMSgrows, 6.2 is the proper PH for maximum CaMg uptake. The range of 5.6 to 6.6 is generally whats recommended. Still this doesn't answer my question "if the tips of the new growth are exhibiting any signs of a micro-nutrient deficiency, CaMg?"
