OVERVIEW OF WEEK
• There is no doubt that that Super Uzi #1 is a photo. I've turned it into an experiment about how long one can go without water. It was last watered on Day 43 with 1.5 liters of solution. I'll report on it each week.
• Now it looks as if the plants have been over-fertilized. Very dark green fan leaves, which leads me to think that I may have too much nitrogen for a blooming plant. The primary source appears to be the results of the Nature's Living Soil (NLS) tea. I need to find a replacement for my mid-life tea feeding. I know that coconut water has some nutrient value, but I don't think it is high in NPK, it's more of a source micro-nutrients.
COMING UP
• Need to determine what is wrong with my garden and remedy it.
LESSONS LEARNED (push down list)
• Day 49 - You can always see problems about a week before there is a real problem. Need to take better health notes and reference my earlier pictures more frequently looking for early signs of problems.
• Day 49 - Now I'm wondering if it is a shortage of something. Could be phosphorus, but I use Mammoth P according to directions. Calcium? Hard to tell.
• Day 46 - How can you "fertilizer burn" an organic grow? Might coconut water be the source? I read today that it is important to check your EC (ppm) when using coconut water. It is nutrient-rich, is that the source of too much of something?
=> Possible Cause #1: Coconut water.
=> Possible Cause #2: NLS tea. I need to check my pictures to see if there is a relationship.
@blendmedmedman, I am very pleased. I put them in jars today with some Bovenda packs. It dried too quickly, but I didn't have much control over the environment. The 180 grams dried to 57.5 grams. Very pleased. Now, it probably needs to dry a bit more an there are at least 10 g of stem included (I had to hang them somehow.) But the buds are very solid so I am expecting some good smoke.
I've already started the soil for season four. The diary will be full of details. All organic and closely following the advice of BuildASoil.
@TheOtherSide, thanks for the comment. I was way behind. I posted four weeks in the last two days. But now I am caught up.
I'm really trying to document what I do and to keep track of any deviations from my plan. That way I know what I need to do differently next time. I do like how quickly you can run a crop of autos. If all goes well, I'll get four crops this year.
Good luck with your garden as well.
@Tweezer, Thanks. Wait to see what happens in the next few weeks. I fell behind in updating my diary. I just started week 8 and had to fix an organic nutrient problem. It is all documented. I just need to upload it. Thanks for looking at my diary.
@GrowGuy97, thanks. I may finally be getting this organic/auto thing down. So much different from salts and photos. If you have any questions, just PM me. ✌️
