@@Blacklisted, Only one pathfinder of the seven came from the GD contest in partnership with Fotonica. The other 6 had applied via different means and went through the process outside of GD. I may be the last person to receive the lamp, idk. But those other individuals are the originals and went through the process before anyone. This GD contest was only for 7 possible applicants for a chance, with one lamp as the prize. They short listed the 7 to 3 possible candidates when certain criteria couldn't be met by the other 4. The final 3 went up for a vote on Instagram and was picked/announced on the 15th of sept.

Would be really great to find out more about this lamps. What spectrum and what type leds are they using? Efficacy is measure in µmol/j and levels of 2µmol/j or greater the current standard for high power applications are desired. where is Fotonica standing? do they have any data sheets? does it have active cooling built in? are they any good at small scale grows? (i.e. 1m2 or 1.5m2 tents ?) when you run a large led light for 12-20h per day one needs to know what cooling system the lamp has. Some photo-metric reports which describe the lamp as being in use for 30 minutes or more before testing to gain a better idea of the true efficacy would be great. 😈 Heat is the enemy of efficacy.
This are few things to have in mind when choosing a LED light:
1.Yield Efficiency
2.LPD (Lighting Power Density)
3.SPD (Spectral Power Distribution)
4.Average PPFD
5.Maintenance Costs.
was not able to find much info on the EVA3TM on the website...
would be interesting to have it compared with what I think is the best horticultural LED light on the market, the Cropmaster

@@NobodysBuds, well, they conducted some test and compared the lights in major grow facilities. You have the results online. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/15KPoJdlVgHx4oAAVai-wehxlpfJmPvyw , here are the trial results. About the light spectrum and son, we have a biologist/microbiologist, botanist's and physicists on board to help us and guide us. All have PhD's. It will be a fun run and test. Let's see what happens.

@@NobodysBuds, weel, we will see all about that. That's the point of the first contact program. 7 Growers from the world where chosen to test the light against another one and make a growdiarie here with side by side comparison. A copy, just the light is different. I normally grow with 2x600W HPS under one reflector, but for this run, I want to put it to test against a nother HQ Led, but I'm from EU and no body seems to be interested of lending me their best light, but every body is talking shit about the light, but when it comes to test the light against Eva3, every thing get's quiet.

@@@NobodysBuds, well, the EVA3 has 11 bands of light spectrum that are adjustable, including UV-A, UV-B and IR. If you, want to flower with a random high quality led light, you get a fixed spectrum or 2 spectrum. Veg and Flow, but with the EVA3 you can turn any blue specter off and focus your energy on the wavelenght that matters. So, you can tailor the light to your specific need and the need of the plant. EVA3 features 11 individual wavelength bands: 430nm, 450nm, 630nm, 660nm, 385nm UVA, 410nm violet, 520nm green, 730nm deep red, 850nm infrared, fluorescent UVB and a white light that serves as a filler that covers all other wavelength bands. The intensity of each wavelength band can be set individually in the range of 0% to 100%.
