Flushing Techniques

So my first 4 out of five are pretty much all ready to start their flush. Are there any tips or things for sure to do? I'm just planning on running tapwater until my drip tray starts to fill and measure TDS/EC every day? Planning on a 1-2wk flush starting tomorrow.

2 weeks is too much for soilless media. since they are known to hold nutrients less than soil, you can easily get rid of excess nutrients in your pot with only one flushing.leaves already fading to light green means you don't even have to flush.but if your willing to do so then I would say only one flushing, 2 waterings before harvest.check EC ,try to get it below 1 with that flush(I think it is already close to 1) , then give little amount of nute solution. keep it for last 2 waterings at half doses and chop.I'm not a fan of making plants starve prior to harvest.sometimes this makes the plant produce more resin but sometimes it turns out with worse looking buds, especially if plant starved for a couple of weeks.

idea of a flush is depriving them of nutirents. 10-14 days flush in soil isn't likely to cause problems. The only tip is to learn from the timing if the canopy dies too fast/too soon. flush doesn't do anything that people say it does. cells are differentiated for their function. what the plant uss from what you feed it and what it creaters are not just randomly in every tissue in equal abundance, that would be insanity. does your brain store fat? no, fat cells store fat. when you eat too much, your heart doesn't turn to hamburger. that stuff is stored in leaves, not buds. buds are for sexual reproduction. Several studies have shown mineral contentn does not rise if you do not flush... the buds remain unchanged. Now, if you have a toxicity or lockout or... some other self-inflicted issue, then a reason to flush becomes more of a feasible action. The less green in your plant, the slower it ripens... no reason to slow it down if not overfed. I err on side of a small fade at end just to be sure. It's not because i think it improves taste or removes "chemicals" form the buds, because that is absolute urban myth made up by people that have never taken a biology class in their lives.

when using just plain tap water. it's suggested to let it sit out in the open air for 24 hours to level the chlorine in the water dissipate. Other than that.. You sound good to go! Happy Harvest!
