Hello So in my opinion it doesnt matter whether it's an auto or a photo plant, leaves handle heat no matter what. Different strains can handle very high intensity and others not so much. But typically if you're using an led, don't get closer than 15 inches when it's grown. Young veg keep it around 23-28 inches. Older veg/flowering around 18-20 inches. But like mentioned they can usually handle 15 and not get burned . HID lights are reallygonna vary based on wattage, they run hot! I wouldn't go closer than 13 inches and don't hang farther than 15-30 inches based on high and low watts.👍

Yes the only true answer to that is get a lux meter. All lights are not created equall

Hey bro! 👋 First thing you need is a lux meter, or at the very least, install a free app on your smartphone called "luxmeter." For seedlings, it's best to provide light between 2000 and 4000 lux. In the early veg stage, aim for 4000-10000 lux. During flowering, go for 10000-95000 lux. 👌😇👍 Good luck, bro!
