I'm not used to autos, in general with photoperiod strains I prefer to top at the third internode, I've read many conflicting opinions, what do you advice guys? They seems healthy, should I give it a try? Will they recover in time for flowering?

Hi ! I dont recommend topping autos you can get dissapointed very easy, i always prefer to do LST but if you really want to try topping i suggest doing it at the 4th Node when they are still young autos need more time to heal because they start to bloom after 4/5th week depending on the strain, i also recommend not to spray water on them in direct light as it may cause burns on your leaves, if its the sprayer than fix it😬? goodluck and happy growing ! and be careful with nutes i would follow some feeding schedule as i see you are using biobizz nutrients if you need any more help feel free to send me a message ! 🙏

Personally, I don't top autos because it sets them back & they're on a fixed schedule for veg/flowering. I know it CAN be done but it's only recommended for experienced growers & people whose autos have like 5 nodes by Week 2. IMHO, you're better off doing LST or even HST techniques like mild supercropping with autos if you want to train. If they end up getting stunted, yield will be affected. On my current autoflower, I did ponytailing of my upper leaves & stem pinching--a modified version of supercropping that requires no recovery time. And lollipopping/defoliation is pretty much a safe bet. You don't need topping to get multiple colas on an auto, luckily. Just some LST & TLC. 😊

Hi Lady! I topped my Black Cream Bettie at the 5th node and defoliated her till she was almost naked! lol.. I also LST's her and shaped her into a star. (follow me on IG to see, Nugwitch1) I have read that it will slow her total grow time some, but it's worth it if you can get a good yield. Beings you already have experience with photos and topping, you can play with autos like that too, just keep in mind the grow time will be longer. Good luck and if you have questions, keep asking... we were all noobs at the beginning. Witchy wishes for a Killer Grow!

Hey man, i've seen it countless times on GD, topping an auto too early. Folks say you can't top an auto but i've seen folks flux and auto and pull almost 200 dry from that. Basically there are two kinds of autos, fast ones (likes GSC) , and bigger ones (like XXL Amnesia), bigger ones respond to training better. Depends on the strain also, but basically you want to check if there has been enough growth at the bottom of week three, if so then go for it, if not then go for it at your own risk! topping is great to increase your yield, so go for it!

you already have done the most important things for autoflowers. Put them after germination in final pot (check) Give them fluffy prefertilised Soil, (check) Avoid to much water to much Nutes, to near to the LIght. But up to here done things Right They respond very well to LST and Leave tucking. Some strains are very nice to top others i wont recommend. Its alway the question how strong the Plant grows. But LST works every time.

Autos should be TOPed (or FIMed) above the 4th node (removing the 5th pair of leaves; if you do it later they will start to flower; do it before and the roots have not developed enough. I have a diary with a Sweet Skunk Auto where I FIMed it, if you want to check it.
