Drying

I'm in the drying process. It's been 5 days. Buds feels crisp but the stems don't snap they just bend. I trimmed them yesterday. Should I wait until the stems snap or jar them now?

Even if you jar it too early....just empty them out and let them dry a little more. I only harvested 6 plants and its a learning curve in that process itself. Jar it now and maybe it'll be the best shit you smoked, but from what I know, patience is a virtue when it comes to the herb 👊👌👍

thicker stems won't snap. Do the bud easily snap off vs. bend/sliver down main branch etc? If you have 2-way humidity packs, you'll know if it was too dry if buds gain weight. If still losing weight, that's okay for the last few % of original mass in jar w/humidity pack. if you don't, however you control environtment.. ~55-62% RH and mid-60s F... if it gains weight in that environment, it was too dry. A little weight gain isn't so bad. It's better to lose the last few% in the controlled environment, though. Too early into jars will increase risk of microbial growth. too late impacts taste a bit. very late will ruin taste no matter how long you cure.
