The earlier the better. The longer you wait the harder your stems will get and you risk breaking the stems. You can use plant ties, zip ties, I personally use pipecleaners One recommendation I would give is the way you pull your plant. The plant grows nodes symmetrically so it would be a good idea to tie down the main stem so one side is not facing the soil. You can pull it down in the direction so all areas are getting light, and the smaller shoots will soon start reaching for your "sun" There really is no perfect way of doing it. LST is exactly as it sounds. Just get a tie attached to your pot and pull her down. One big tip I will throw your way is to support your stem. Have a twist tie or whatever you use to tie your plant down...have that attached to the pot and have it go vertically so you can wrap it around your main stem. You are best to pull the plant down in the opposite direction that you are tied the support. This extra added support really helps once the plant starts getting pulled around. Prevents it from leaning in one direction and keeps your stock/main stem up straight during the process! Good luck and happy growing!

You should begin when they are still a seedlibg and still somewhat bendable..as they age they can become woody and hard and snap under pressure. The idea is bending longer stems away from the main stem..whether a star pattern or other so that its a flatter wider shape. Usually plant twisty ties are best because they won't cut the plant like something like chicken wire would do. Some people use pipe cleaners or soft coated string. Some people their lst consists of tying down just the one main shoot over to the side..I think that's the absolute basic you could do. I hope it goes good for you. My local grocery store sold plant ties so theyre pretty easy to find.

Hi there, you should wait a few more weeks : your plant is too young to recover from any kind of stress. I'd recommend to wait until you have 3 or 4 main nodes. Be VERY gentle while doing it, it's way better to go step by step, starting with small manipulations to ensure you won't slow down her growth. I'll be around, good luck with this baby!

Hi mate, The idea behind LST is to bend and otherwise gently manipulate cannabis so your plants create multiple main "colas" or buds. Additionally, Low Stress Training lets you produce plants that grow in the exact shape and size you want, giving indoor growers much bigger yields from the same grow lights. The LST technique can be used to reduce the height of marijuana plants that are getting too tall for your setup, or are growing taller than your other cannabis plants. LST allows you to keep an even canopy and get as much bud as possible from your light. You can use some gardening string/ or ties of some sort. Or just some old shoe laces you’ve got laying around, just be careful how tight you do them. Few little examples in my Stardawg and girl Scout cookies diary if you want to have a look. Just opening up the plant to let more light in and expose the bud sites. Which means bigger buts. You can defoliate if bigger leaves are blocking bud sites lower down the plant. Take a look st my diary and it may help you and give you a better idea. Hope this helps bud. Take it easy
