Yes & no, its really down to experience & how you like fo grow. You should take them off in very small stages if you're going to. These are autos. So I tend to wait until they've fully grown and as it goes into its stretch before actually going into pre flower. You can take the biggest fan leafs supporting the fully grown nodes. Remove 1 set each day..you'll know about 4-7 days when your plant is going to flip. Therell be a massive stretch and you'll see lil hairs where the nodes break away from the main stem. And other places. Defoliation is perfect to do at this stage. As u know its flipping..as doing defols on autos can induce stress which can cause a premature flip. Small stages, big old fan leafs. As the purpose of this this to transfer the energy into the smaller leafs developing on the nodes themselves.

hello mate, yes she is an auto but i think that you may do a little clean up in the lower part and inside where the ligth doesn't penetrate. Be gently 😉

I never defoliate. More leaves = more energy being made = more growth...........that's how plants work.

not yet mate , once she is flowering you can remove anything at the lower part of the plant that won't get much light penetration this will also very importantly provide plenty of air movement to combat mold issues Defoliation for the sake of it is counter productive imo as those leaves store the energy the plant needs to grow big and strong

Since she's probably gearing up to flower soon, I'd hold off on any major leaf plucking. Autos have a shorter veg cycle, so stressing her out now might mess with her bud production later. But hey, if you notice any big, shady leaves hogging all the light or any damaged ones, feel free to trim those off gently. Just don't go too crazy. We want her feeling chill, not freaked out. Once she starts flowering, you can reassess and do some light defoliation if needed to keep things breezy. But for now, let her do her thing and get ready to stretch and bloom.

I just defoliated a little on my two autoflowers last night. Mine are in week 5 and are in the early stages of flower. I removed any fan leaf that was covering potential bud sites. I also trimmed off any lower branch that would not make it to the canopy. This will force its energy up to the top to produce better yields. I suggest you do a very light defoliation before she starts to flower. Then once you get that massive growth phase from the stretch you can trim them a little more to expose more bud sites. The added benefit to defoliation is also increased airflow through your plant to avoid any issues associated with not enough airflow. I hope this helps.
