You can or just leave it and make edibles with small stuff or bubble hash. I do this regularly. Just adds to finish trimming time. Good luck and happy growing 🌲🌲🌲👊

Yes you can, but don't go overboard. I like to remove a lot of the small "trashy" branches but try and leave behind as many healthy green leaves as possible to continue providing the plant with energy via photosynthesis. Check out "lollipopping" on the Grow Diaries Journal/Blog page to get some insight into this technique. Ideally, "lollipopping" should be happening earlier in the grow/veg cycle so you don't end up with doing it during flowering, but as long as you don't go crazy, doing it now won't really upset the plant too much. Also, try to resist the urge to do any sort of "defoliation", especially of healthy green leaves, as this will just result in your plant having less capacity to produce energy and will slow growth. Remember, less/fewer healthy green leaves = less energy produced = less/slower/smaller growth. I personally recommend only removing any yellow leaves. Plus, the big healthy green leaves are "storage" sites that your plant has loaded with carbs, sugars, amino acids etc that she will draw upon during flowering. Cannabis being the super plant that it is, will cleverly "recycle" the stored vital growth elements from her leaves to use during flowering as this is far more efficient than growing flowers AND trying to make these elements from new all over again during energy intensive activity that flowering is. This is generally why leaves will go yellow on otherwise healthy and well fed plants during flowering. It is because your plant is efficient and has learned the benefit of recycling long before us slow learning humans did. So, defoliation not only reduces your plants capacity to produce energy, it also robs her of the cleverly stored vital growth elements she has been so carefully accumulating throughout her life, waiting to be used for when she is in flower. These concepts seem hard to grasp by the defoliation brigade, but is basic plant biology 101! Hope this helps,..... Organoman.
